The service is either a joke or I'm amazed people like this exist outside of the movies. They actually do treat you badly if you aren't famous or don't seem to be wealthy. It's hilarious in theory. This place is kind of an embarrassment.

I thought the food was excellent, the service was great, and the interior was just what you would imagine a restaurant to be like 60-70 years ago. Musso & Frank serves old-fashioned American/Continental food. The menu definitely has the flavor of years gone by: Corn beef and cabbage (on Tuesdays), shrimp cocktails, Welsh rarebit and jellied consomm and chicken pot pie (on Thursdays). Steaks are always good here and I like the fish and chips a lot too.

It looked like everything I thought it should be. It felt like "old Hollywood." The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is that I didn't eat there, only drank at the charming bar. Perhaps, if I had eaten, I'd have given it more or less.

I have no idea why people give such a high rating for this restaurant.

They have diner quality food, and the price is over priced.

The service is not great because they are so "busy".

Seriously, better go to a diner than here.

Muso and Frank Grille is the best. It is the oldest resturant in Hollywood,I think, and has been used in countless movies including the recent Oceans Eleven with Brad Pitt and George Clooney. The food there is excelent. The seafood dinner salad is #1 and big enough to split, and the baked scallops are excelent as well. My favorite is their Filet Mignon. It is absolutley to die! The service is very good. It is dark and red inside ( go figure, the Rat Pack and people alike used to hang there). Just remember dress code is NO SLEEVLESS SHIRTS! Be prepared to spend between $100-$250 for two-including drinks) for one of the best and most memorable dinners. The place isn't too fancy but the history and the food ambiance, and servicve make it and exceptional experience.

Anytime anyone tells you that you've got to go to some place because it's a "cl assic Holllywood" joint do yourself a favor and stay home that night, make youself some mac and cheese, crack open a beer and rent a movie. A good place to take your out-of-town friends for a Hollywood dining experience. The menu is mostly upscale steaks and specialty dishes. The patrons vary from youthful hipsters, obvious tourists and old-timers visiting their fave restaurant. It really seemed like the older crowd there especially goes out of there way to enjoy a Saturday night dinner together. I even overhead some folks reminiscing about the $3 steaks they could get here a few decades ago. Ask your grumpy waiter a few personal questionsto lighten him up a bit and he'll fix you up all night.

I love this place. On my first visit, a couple of regulars gave me this advice: "Stick to the menu items from the grill and you can't go wrong." Excellent prime rib and lamb chops. Other items on the menu may sound odd because it hasn't changed since 1919. It IS the oldest restaurant in Hollywood after all. Behind the bar, Manny makes the best martinis in town. No wannabe actor/waiters here. These waiters take their work seriously and their average age seems to be around 70, which adds its own charm.
