I highly recommend this preschool/daycare. The teacher/child ratio is great; teacher turnover is really low, many teachers have been there over 10 and some 20 years; teachers are very loving and nurturing, and have good intuition/insight on kids; they are a play-based program with structure, which strikes a great balance between children's intellectual and social/emotional growth. The children learn not only their numbers/letters but also how to deal with other children and adults, all thru play and fun activities. The pre-k program has field trip almost every week all year (library, see movie/plays, etc.), and goes swimming, bowing in the summer too. I can't wait for my child to be in the pre-k room!

They are also very convenient for full-time or part-time working parents, as they allow you to set your own schedule as long as you sign up for a minimum number of hours a week. They provide two snacks (milk and some other stuff is organic) and help heat the lunch. Rates are reasonable especially for Palo Alto. They have often been full just through word of mouth and do not advertise. I happened to learn about them from a coworker since we joined I have met many satisfied parents who rave about their infant/toddler program too.

This is a wonderful loving caring childcare facility. It is a play based facility with much better teacher to child ratio than most childcare. The staff is very caring and get to know your child's personality and needs really well. The also follow a curriculum and do tons of learning and art activities. My son couldn't be happier at CCC!! I highly recommend it!

I have been trying to send my daughter here but it seems that this place is in really huge demand. They are already booked up till Jan of 2007, so I don't see any hopes in the near future. BUt this place is great and quite affordable and flexible. The teachers are ncie and experienced and the place looks nice and clean too. You have to sign up for a min no of hours per week, and besides that the timings are quite flexible.

Covenant Children's Center offers care for infants-pre K, in a warm, family style environment. The majority of the staff have been there for many, many year, and many of the families are repeat customers. An added bonus is the flexibility they allow parents for part-time care- as long as you sign up for a minimum of 20 hours per week, you can set you own, regular schedule (i.e. don't have to sign up for just mornings etc).

Our son started at Covenant when he was 4 months old, because we'd heard such wonderful things about the staff and the program there. Covenant exceeded our wildest expectations, including the excellent staff-child ratios in all age groups, the kind and loving care, focusing on all aspects of the child's social and intellectual growth. The staff are well-trained and turnover is very low, creating a stable, experienced and reliable group of teachers and care-givers.

PROS: Teacher to child ratios are better than state law requires!
CONS:
