4 Stars: circuit city (by Annie C.)

circuit city is a good place to buy electronics. They sell cameras, camcorders, computer, video game systems, tvs, and other electronics at reasonable prices. They have the newly released cds and dvds at low prices. Sometimes it can be hard to find the cd you're looking for because it's a little unorganized. Overall the customer service is good and the employees are always there to help.

4 Stars: Electronics everywhere! (by Stacy M.)

As soon as you walk into Circuit City you can see they have a ton of electronic devices and appliances. Shop around and I am sure you will find something from a TV or stereo to a dvd or a video game console. Cell phones, cameras, car stereo equipment, fax machines, the list goes on!

3 Stars: Good prices on big-ticket items (by Paul C.)

To me, Circuit City and Best Buy are kinda yin and yang. Best Buy seems to have a much better selection of DVDs, CDs, and the like, but Circuit City is the place to go for the big-ticket items, like that brand new 57" widescreen TV (the best $1800 I ever spent three years ago!)

For one, they have a low-price guarantee, which is good. And for two, they simply seem set up to focus on the hardware, whereas Best Buy tends to give more floor space to the media.

This store seems particularly smallish, but they still manage a good selection of big-screen TVs. The Circuit City in San Mateo has a similar selection, but the Daly City location often seems to have a slightly better selection of audio equipment (reciever/amplifiers, CD players, etc).

Parking can get crazy around the holidays, but is adequate most other times.

PROS: Low-price guarantee on electronics
CONS: Smallish media selection
