5 Stars: great cake (by melanie l.)

the cakes here are great. you can get a full sheet for a pretty good price. all the cakes are made with fresh fruit. my favorite is the chocolate cake with the fresh strawberries and bananas. it's so refreshing and not too heavy.

4 Stars: Great Cakes (by Yolanda M.)

Sunset Bakery has the best Mandarin Orange cake that I have every had. There cakes are light and spongy and are reasonably priced. All of their fruit cakes are good but the strawberry cake is the best.

PROS:
CONS: No Parking

4 Stars: cakes (by Cheuk F.)

If you need a flavorful cake, this is the place for you. They have on display many different kinds of cakes. Strawberry is the most popular and I think the mixed fresh fruit is also a good choice. They also have many pastries for sale but make sure you go early because sometimes they do sell out quickly and you might not get what you want in the afternoon.

4 Stars: My Review (by Dee T.)

This bakery in the Sunset District specializes in chinese pastry goods. Many people purchase their fruit cakes such as fresh strawberry or assorted fruit because the cake and whipped frosting are so light. Also a good choice are their sponge cakes as they are very moist. Only negative thing is it's hard to find parking. Most people just park in the bus zone.

3 Stars: Cakes. Yummie. (by Colleen T.)

A small bakery that provides a general assortment of baked goods. My favorite are the cakes!! Especially the mocha cakes. They are nice soft, sponge-like cakes with a delicious mocha cream/frosting. They aren't even that sweet at all - which is great for adults or the elderly who generally do not enjoy a ton of sugar in their food. They are also great for small parties or you can pre-order a larger cake for any occasion.
