We overheard the table directly behind us telling Allison that "you just can't stop taking the Entertainment Book, we only came in because we found you in the book." We of course eavesdropped, because we were in the exact same situation. She told them that she'd send the manager over. After she left their table, we interrupted them and asked what the problem was, and they told us that their Entertainment Card was not being honored. We told them how we only chose Vittorio's because we found them in the Book, and waited for the manager. The owner himself came to their table, and proceeded to tell them that "We don't have no contract with them! We were closed for a year and I'm the new owner, and we don't have to take the Entertainment Book" While this is true, they should have posted a sign telling people that the Entertainment Book is no longer valid at this restaurant. In addition, he was so INCREDIBLY RUDE that I was about to have a fit
Here is the deal. If you buy a restaurant, you should know what advertising they have out there. I also don't understand how if you've been closed for a full year and have re-opened under new ownership, how there is even an ad in the Entertainment book at all for you. They print yearly. Also, see the pictures we took...the logo for the restaurant, the menu, the signage on the restaurant, the phone number and the address are all the same.

And, is it really worth $17 ??? Instead of creating 4 people that hate your restaurant, and will tell 10 people each, and on and on...take the frickin' $17 off and make some regular customers! Let us thank you profusely for honoring the Entertainment Coupon when you didn't have to!
My husband told Allison to make sure the owner did NOT come to our table, because I would be likely to rip him a new one and ruin everyone's night.

To the owner: You just lost a ton of business. I am a small business owner, and I love to support other small businesses. I know a ton of business owners in Huntington. I will be telling everyone I know how terrible my experience was, and I hope you go out of business. Fine, don't take the *free advertising* from the Entertainment Book that the previous owners paid for. And learn some grammar, while you're at it. Oh, and more importantly, learn some manners!

Do NOT support this business! And, really, you can get decent Italian food just about anywhere, it's not that difficult to master. Go somewhere else.

Pros: Some of the Food

Cons: THE OWNER and his terrible attitude!

I have been coming here for years. Recently, I ordered a large pizza to go and it was completely inedible! It was not cooked all the way, it wasn't what I had ordered, and it was foul smelling. I called them when I got home to complain, they didn't care, there was no manager to speak with, and no one able to give me any compensation for the crappy pizza my family could not eat. I left my name and number for the owners to contact me and I still haven't heard from them. They obviously do not care about their longtime customers and must have no pride in their food. I had to go out to buy another pizza to feed my family. I went to Lino's and got a fantastic pizza!

Little on the pricey side but worth every penny. I used to go there at least once every 2 weeks. The staff is professional and always good in explaining the specials.

Would love to write a good review but we can't. We just ate there and it was terrible. The Service was slow and lackadaisical and the food was bland and outright awfull. I think a can of chef Boyardee would have been more flavorful and satisfying than the fifty dollar meal that we barley touched. Consider yourself warned.

The drinks are great !! but the food and the service Worst ever i mean at least when I went i have been dining there for about 4 years and things have changed so much that i dont know if i will ever go back !! food was nasty and over cooked and the staff wow looks like the pulled some off of Harbor BLVD and another out of weight watchers she looks like she rolled around in the food before she ate all of it i just wish they would start making postive changes instead of always raising the prices !!! I will go BACK again in about 5 years to see if any postive changes have been made !!!

On a recent Friday night my wife and I visited Vittorios. We were promptly seated at a dirty table even though the restauant was at less than half capacity. Soon water and bread arrived. Had I known then that this would be the highlight of our dining experience, I would have skipped dinner and headed to Rite Aid for ice cream. Nearly 15 minutes later our waitress finally arrived at our table and took our drink order (they were out of Peroni so we ordered Birra Moretti). We decided to order our meals at that time as well fearing that our server might again go missing. Our soup and salad arrived. No drinks. We finished our soup and salad. Still no drinks. After 30 minutes we finally received our beers. Warm. We flagged down another waitress (ours must have been time traveling) and explained the problem. She mater-of-factly stated that, "Someone left the refrigerator door open all night." She offered no alternative (wine, mixed drink). Finally, I got up with both beers in hand and carried them into the lounge myself. I explained the problem to the bartender. He handed me two new warm beers but no apology. He offered to put them on ice as to cool them down. (Next time the refrigerator is open all night, maybe he should put all of the beer on ice before serving it to customers--just a thought). I declined the second round of warm beers. The food arrived. My wife's Vittorio's Rustica was not only dry but rather flavorless. What white wine sauce once existed in the dish had been evaporated by over-baking or the heat lamp. My linguini alla vongole was pedestrian at best. Time for the check, please. ZZZZZZZZZZZ. Time for the check, please. Another 15 minutes of torture alla Vittorios.

I grew up in an Italian home so I'm quite passionate about Italian food. We also new a place called Vittorios in New York on the west side. Totally awesome place too.
On a scale of bad, good, great, I'd say this food was good. The raviolies were great, the lasagna good, the canoli's was ok.

Prices though are what would deter me from going here again. With prices compared to food I'd say it doesn't match the value.

My husband and I have been regulars at Vittorio's for about three years. It is so cozy and close to our home, so we pop in 3 or 4 times a month for a great meal. New owners took over a little over a year ago and boy have they picked up the place! New items on the dinner menu, now there are terrific bar appetizers and nightly specials on their Specials Board ( something new). I had a Chilean Sea Bass to die for and my husband had his usual Ossabucco cooked to perfection. It does not get any better than this .......Bravo!!!

Vittorio's was a killer-good neighborhood institution just a year ago. New owners dumped the experienced waitresses and hired inexperienced waiters. We endured that change, but then the kitchen became inconsistent. They still pour a killer drink.
