This is a great shop especially if you are a gamer looking for older game consols and games. They have newer games and systems as well. I was excited to find a Sega Genesis game I had been looking for a little over 12 years. Every time I have been in there I have always experienced great cusomer service. I had an incident where my boyfriend and I bought a used PS2 game and it had a different game in the box. We brought it back a few days later and the owner was more than happy to exchange it as well as issue a coupon to use next time to make up for the inconvenience. They have a huge variety of used and new games to choose from for all systems. You will find yourself spending hours looking at all the games they have. I also love that they have much needed strategy guides. Each time I have been in Gameland I have always encountered Zane. I do not know who this other counter employee is that others are saying is so rude. Overall, a wonderful place to visit and take a gander in. :)

My husband and I had been looking everywhere for a rare console. I called Zane at Gameland and was told the store had the console, which I was thrilled about. So, deciding to surprise my husband for Valentine's Day, I headed on over there. The customer service from Zane was wonderful! He worked very hard to make sure I had a working system and did everything he could to get everything prepared so I could surprise my husband. I know a lot of game places test things before selling, but he went the extra mile by pulling out other systems to compare to make sure we got the best of the rare. He was even kind enough to help me out to my car after. My husband was definitely and happily surprised. We will most definitely go back there again. I was very satisfied with the customer service and the prices, not to mention the fact they had exactly what we were looking for.

So we saw this little place in our neighborhood and decided to take our 9 year old there to get some games *Wii and XBox" . We spent $90.00 on 2 games, traded some in, etc. We usually go to GameStop a few times a month, as our son is a huge gamer, so when we saw a neighborhood store, we thought, "great, support our neighborhood" and we did.
Upon getting the games home, my son went to play the used game he got (and it was $35.00!!!) and it played for a few minutes and stopped, with the screen message "Disc not Supported" or some message. Long story short, it didn't work.

O.K., it happens, right? no biggie, the other $50.00 new game we got worked, and we had 4 days to take the used one back. Just bad luck right? We purchase/trade a huge amount of Wii and XBox games every month (expensive hobby).

Well...here's the best part. I take my son and his friend in there to return/exchange the game as well as get some MORE games. This *****ck salesguy opens it up and says, rather brazenly

"NOPE, THEY RUINED IT, they must've knocked the XBOX OVER because when they stand on their side and get knocked over, the laser cuts a groove into the disc..blah, blah, blah..."
Now, I'm pretty quiet and polite (and with 2 9 year olds) so I ask the boys if they knocked over the XBox, etc, etc, and they both said "we don't have our unit standing on its side...its always flat like its supposed to be"

Long story short, this psycho starts screaming at them, me saying "You broke it!!" over and over. I'm trying to tell the guy we buy tons of these games and my sons never damaged 1, AND, it was the 1st!!! time they tried to play it." I also said, "How can you say for sure it wasn't a damaged used game?"

This nutjob starts saying loudly, over and over "HEY, listen to me..they BROKE IT"!!!! I turned around towards the door and said to the kids "OK, lets go, he's not going to let us exchange it" (I wanted to smack him but the kids were there)

He's not done yet....
This psycho starts screaming as we're leaving the store "HEY, THEY BROKE IT!! COME BACK HERE, TURN AROUND"!!! As I'm trying to leave, I'm just putting my hand up and saying "O.K. THANK YOU!!, enough!! we're going" He then starts CHASING me and my 2 9 year olds down the sidewalk saying "I'm NOT THROUGH TALKING TO YOU!!!!"
At this point, I REALLY wished the kids weren't with me (he really was a psychotic who lost his ****** mind), but we walked away.
Fer chrissakes, I was about to spend another $100+ dollars there for the second time in 4 days!!!! Stick with GAMESTOP or other chain videogame stores. This place won't last until that NUTJOB gets a prescription for Zoloft or some other anti-psychotic.

Wow...I still can't believe that happened.
AVOID GAMELAND at ALL COSTS

sidenote: The owner ZANE is actually a very pleasant and cool guy. It's the crazy CLERK who works there who needs a straight jacket. Bums me out because we were excited to have a place right on our block. Considering we spend $3k yearly on games. My wife went in to talk to this crazed man and he was nasty to her and told her the most delusional story about our encounter (and was VERY RUDE) Called himself "The store's PIT BULL"!......Cuckoo !

This little store, tucked away in the corner of BTC Mall, has a little bit of everything for the video gamer and card collector. I their best asset are the used games, if you dont need a box or users manual, then you might find yourself a great deal. They also have very cool t-shirts (Dragonball Z, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc) You'll also find notebooks and card protectors for all of your cards. The owners are very nice and will go out of their way to help you.

PROS: Prices, variety, location, customer service
CONS: nothing
