The Hat

Wow, talk about filling and then some. The Hat is one of the most delicious fast food/diner restaurants I've ever been to. Their menu is full of sandwiches/burgers and side orders to fill anyone up. Of course the main recommendation would be the Pastrami sandwich and dip, there's so much to say yet so little because it's that good. A friend told me after eating there one time that all his pastrami from the sandwich that fell out while eating was enough to make another one, which he did. Their chili cheese fries are also some of the best around, but be warned they are large, messy and sure to make the "healthy conscious eaters" make a run for it. I'm not saying it's a healthy place but what fast food place really is? You should definitely go with a mindset you are going to be eating a lot, and by a lot I mean a lot! Be forewarned, you may want to bring someone else to split a meal (even though the prices are very reasonable).

This place has the best pastrami sandwiches in California. The meat is very tender, flavorful and loaded on a bun that never falls a part no matter what. It is so delicious that you will not want to share even though the actual sandwich is big enough to share. I am always a satisfied customers. I wish they had more of these located in the inner city, but I don't mind the drive, it is truly worth it. Their chilly fries are to die for as well.

THESE guys make the best pastrami dips ever. The sucker has to be at least a pound and the chili fries are to die for. The store itself is like one of those mom and pop diner. wish there were more fast food joints like this.

This is a very good fast food restaurant and you truly get what you paid for. It is a bit expensive, but the food is prepared by relatively good cooks. I like the chili cheese fries the most and very well worth the wait for it.
