Alphabet Soup is a wonderful preschool. This is truly a preschool, not a daycare. The teachers really do enjoy their profession and the children are treated with such great care. The children not only enjoy coming to school, but are learning what they need to prepare for Kinder. My child always looked forward to going to school each day and at pickup still wanted to stay longer! This school reminded me of my preschool days, and that is not something easy to find these days! I felt my child was safe and in very good hands there. They do have the really cute special events for Mother's day and Father's day that create some really special memories.

My daughter has just started her second year at Alphabet Soup. She loves going to school each day. What a wonderful place it is. The teachers there are fantastic. I know when she is dropped off she is safe, and learning not only academically, but socially as well. She has learned how to get along with others, make friends, and treat others wth respect. There is no where else my husband and I would have her go for her first years of school. She is happy and we are happy!

My daughter is about to start her second year at Alphabet Soup and truly loves it. What makes this school different is its small family feel. The school was opened by Sue Campbell, but her daughter Stacey took on the school a few years back when Sue retired. (Stacey was a kindergarten teacher in Cupertino before returning.) The mother-daughter team of both Sue and Stacey as well as Abby and SueB (Abby teaches the youngest class, SueB floats between rooms) give the school its homey feel. Lisa, who teaches the middle class, and Carol, who subs, are the other two members of this teaching family. All are warm and gifted teachers. There is a great deal of communication from Stacey and the rest of the staff. You can tell they know the children, care a great deal about them and are doing all they can to send their students off to kindergarten both academically and socially prepared.

When you enter Alphabet Soup you know you've arrived. Stacey and her fellow teachers bring with them something you cannot teach, a passion for preschoolers. This is a calling and not a job for all of the staff there. The program is a perfect blend between play and preparation for Kindergarten. That blend is so important to me. However the atmosphere and true compassion that is felt upon entering the building is the true hook. Stacey has been the absolute rock in my daughter's life. She has a way of making each child feel valued and special while teaching them life and academic skills. As a full time working mom and teacher, I've never once felt guilty about dropping my daughter off at preschool. And my daughter has found a home at school where she is free to express herself. She feels safe, loved, and valued. My daughter can read, loves doing basic math, has had opportunities to give and receive compassion and has been given many responsibilities along the way. I cannot express enough how different this preschool is compared to all others I've visited.

This is a wonderful preschool. My daughter attended from just before her third birthday for two years. Sue Campbell, who runs the school, has been a dedicated director for over 20 years. The teachers are warm, loving and very dedicated. My daughter's first teacher had taught at Alphabet Soup for over 23 years! The mix of activities through the year include a Thanksgiving program, Easter Egg Hunts, a Mother's Day Brunch, and many others. I am amazed how much my daughter has grown both socially and maturity during her two years at Alphabet Soup. The learning seems to be structured around "themes" like nocturnal animals, body parts, insects, etc.

We'll miss Alphabet Soup as my daughter heads to kindergarten!
