Lowe's

Until and unless the current managment at Lowe's changes - don't be fooled into using Lowe's to work on your kitchen or bath renovation. I like the products Lowe's sells and I was certain that I would get betterservice from a "lowe's" than from a local remodeiling company, but I was very wrong. They took the wrong measurements, ordered the wrong products, then corrected the orders and finally after many delays delivered product to be installed. But not on just one day, but on three different days I took the day off from work when the installers were scheduled - and on each of those days they didn't show up. Only after the third time - did I get the story that the product was wrong again (wouldn't fit because the plumbing locations hadn't been factored in) - and after so much time and aggravation, the managment in the store ((Alex Torres, Gustor, and the general manager of the store) refused to do anything to make up for all the inconvenience. Nope = they would not live up to their initial contract, would not agree that they had done anything wrong. Their basic attitude was "sue me" or get lost. I'm not exaggerating. Do not use them.

PROS: absolutely nothing is good about their service
CONS:

A better alternative to Home Depot, Lowe's is much less busy and offers the same products as HD. Staff is not around much and tend to be teenagers, but the shopping experience is so much more relaxing and easy. Specialty sections, such as window coverings may take some time for staff to report, but no worse than others.

PROS: Much less busy, great parking, easy shopping
CONS: hard to find staff- when you can, they probably know less than you

We have been shopping here quite a bit lately since it is really close to the house we are remodeling. Overall the service seems to be helpful and freindly although we did wait a really long time for carpet to be cut last weekend. I took a laminate floor laying class there and I learned alot. I laid all the floor in both kids bedrooms!
