This place is very cute and cuddly, I love the feeling that it gives. The food is delicious as well and a bit on the expensive side. Waitresses are kind and cater to your needs, good service!

This is a cute place with a lively atmosphere. The food wasn't fancy, but delicious. The one thing I love about this place is that the tables are shorter than usually, which means that you can actually be closer with the person sitting across from you.
PROS: Lively and fun atmosphere
CONS: Not clean enough

P{lace was hip and also cozy
by nicolas09
Well the place is just an Italian one, and the foods are of course okay. The pizza was kind of unique and it's always served hot. Would recommend it any day.
Pros: Food is just too good
Cons: Too much population duh

The Last Supper Club no longer exists :(
by SanFranTofudie
A couple friends and I wanted to meet up for happy hour, and 'The Last Supper Club' looked ideal for the night. We showed up only to find out that a new restaurant had taken over the space :( Not a problem to find another bar/restaurant, but disappointing. Please update your site, Citysearch.

Worst service ever.
by claire78
i just left the restaurant a mere 15 minutes ago and felt compelled to open a city search account just in order to write this review. walked into the last supper club without a reservation and the hostess said she could squeeze us in, for there was a table available atleast for another hour. she reassured us the kitchen was fast and so an hour was plenty. the kitchen was indeed fast, but the service horrific. we made sure to order food and drinks at once to speed our meal and the food was ok. not wonderful, but good. the red sauce there is their real winner. the thing is, our server was very unattentive to us. the last 20 minutes of our meal was spent just trying to get her attention. and then, to add insult to injury the manager approached us after this 20 minute struggle for service to tell us he needed us to leave the table. it was the most rude and inappropriate means in which i've ever seen any wait staff (or manager!) handle dining customers! needless to say we left as quickly as we could and have vowed never to return.

I'd be happy to have my last supper here
by sonyacrowley
This restaurant is nearly flawless. Every time I've been there, I've left satiated and content about everything from the garlic-parsley starter that is served with the bread to their reasonably-priced desserts. Their prix-fixe Valentine's meal was heavenly. Their wine list isn't very big, but I've enjoyed every one I've tried. I HIGHLY recommend the spaghetti a la carbonara, and I don't even usually eat pork.
Pros: delicious, affordable, relaxed

Good Italian Food
by pgchan330
The antipasta sampler is great as is the seared tuna. The portions are a little bit small, so if you are ordering appetizers, entre, dessert and drinks, you're looking at an upward of $40/person. The service is great. The physical layout of the restaurant is not great for large groups, but we had a large party and the server was extremely patient. Definitely worth checking out.
Pros: Great Italian food (try seared tuna), and service
Cons: Parking

Fantastic Italian Food in the Mission!!!
by dancergirl21
I have been missing Italian food in the Mission for awhile, and alas, it's been here all along. I've only been once, but it's fantastic. I had the pasta with eggplant and smoked mozzarella - the mozzarella really was smoky, the pasta was al dente, and the eggplant was tasty. A lovely birbet - a sparkling wine! my first! - was wonderful. My dinner partner had the lamb with ragut over pasta and loved it. Our only complaint would be the excessive wait - it seems they forgot us at one point - but they are all very friendly, which seems to make up for it. The wait staff - plentiful - seem to be happily bustling around indifferent to waiting patrons, but somehow, you don't leave feeling mad. It's a must in the Mission. Did I mention reasonable prices?
Pros: Fantastic Italian in the Mission at Reasonable Prices
Cons: You may have to wait ...

Great Food!
by kbarry1
I had dinner here on a Saturday night and thought that it was a great, fun place overall. I was a bit disappointed at first because I had made reservations and still ended up having to wait a half hour to be seated, but the wait staff was very apologetic and brought us a complementary appetizer for the inconvenience. Our waitress was really friendly and extrememly knowledgeable about the menu which changes monthly. The food was delicious, I was with a party of 4 and everyone was extrelemy happy with what they had ordered. Dessert was also superb. Just plan on having a drink at the bar before eating because it is a relatively small space and seems to be crowded most of the time.

Great Place for Food, Drinks and Socializing
by skellerla
Went here a couple of years ago and thought okay, fun place, mediocre food. Went back Saturday night and the food came up a few notches. I agree with reviewer sfgal35, the food was incredible (similar to what we had in Southern Italy). We were four and ordered 8 or 9 different things and enjoyed everything we ate. Liked it so much that night that we went back for brunch on Sunday before we headed back home. That too was awesome.
Pros: Great Italian food and wines
Cons: A bit trendy, very crowded

Fun. Fun. And Fabulous!
by sfgirl35
Last Supper Club is too fun and too fab!
This place is a new favorite for me and my friends. For the past couple of months we have been going for the Happy Hour where they serve great little apps for free and yummy cocktails. But last night seven of us went for dinner and we had one of the best evenings ever. The bar tend was great and the people hanging at the bar were tres fun. We then sat down and had some of the best food ever. We shared everything as that was what was suggested from our waiter. It's really awesome that they were featuring Calabria as we took some Italophiles and they thought that this was some of the best authentic Italian style food they have had in SF since they moved here from NYC.
Pros: Great drinks, Great food, Great prices
Cons: a little trendy, parking

EXCELLENT!
by arodigari
We've gone to this place a half-a-dozen times over the last year and this restaurant produces some of the best Italian food we have ever had here, in the Bay Area. We have been to the other restaurants owned by the same but find this overall to have it all - delicious food, sophisticated wine list, lively atmosphere, attentive and most importantly knowlegable waiters. Between the five of us, we ordered about 10 different dishes - appetizers, salads, pastas, entrees. The dishes were very original - more like what we found traveling throughout Italy than what we find here in the states. We enjoyed the casual dining, with the dishes being served family style so that we could all share.
What we also appreciated was that they let us sit there for a couple of hours and never made us feel rushed. The place does get very noisy as the Twentysomething "chic" crowd emerges after 9:00.
Pros: Great food, Interesting wine list, fun atmosphere
Cons: Noisy at the later hours, parking

Horrible Service
by chacha83
I went here for my friends 21st birthday and had the worst experience. Our waitress had a horrible adittude! She walked away from our table 5 times in the middle of us trying to order. She was clearly stereotyping us because we were younger.
I went back once for brunch and the food was nasty. I wont go back.
Pros: none
Cons: bad service

New Ownership = Never Again Returning
by enragedeater
This is my first review on citysearch, and I'm only doing it because I'm furious. The Last Supper Club used to be one of my favorite mission upscale eateries. Then, new owners came in, gutted the menu, raised the prices and had the nerve to try and do it with a smile.
The only redeeming part of the evening was when one of the wait staff admitted that people seemed "less then thrilled" with the food since the restaurant reopened. This was the only enjoyable part of our meal. Chef Boyardee could have done a better job making (frozen, not fresh) pasta then these yokels. An insult!
Pros: If I had to pick: ambience, service
Cons: Food, food, food

Divine
by ccillini
Wonderful. Wonderful. Wonderful. There is not much more we can say about this delicious Southern Italian trattoria. The food was native to my country, the staff very helpful and the wines an Italian' s dream. We highly recommend this place for all.
Pros: wonderful food and wines
Cons: parking

ENJOYED IT ALL
by mariellait
All we can say is GO! And, go again -- it just gets better and better everytime we are there. We've been going to this restaurant for several months and have never written a review. Now we are.
We truly enjoyed every aspect of our evening last Saturday (as we have the times before). From the great - and traditional - Southern Italian food (true to its origin) to the warm and friendly service to the fun "club like" setting we had a wonderful time.
For us it is truly a pleasure to have a "great" Italian restaurant serving authentic dishes like my mothers and grandmothers from Napoli. We say to the owner - Keep up the good work and don't stray from what you believe in, we love it.
Pros: authentic, lively, great service
Cons: noise, parking

Good food and service
by bc3855
The food was good and the service great. Prices are fairly good. They have monthly specials where they feature a different region of Italy.
Wine prices on Tuesday's are great!
Pros: service, wine prices -Tuesdays, food
Cons: parking-hit or miss, loud

Puzzled by the crowds
by sprovines
I finally tried it this week and found the food downright insulting to the sophisticated San Francisco palate. I had the artichoke dip (cold, oily, bland) and its accompanying dry, flavorless crackers, which had to be out of a box. Followed that with the beet salad, which was overly dressed and soggy. The so-called croutons were merely stale toasted bread with goat cheese spread across them. I followed that with the Fusillu alla Norma, which was heavily salted--I thought SF restaurants were clever enough not to salt things!! Maybe it was to cover up the otherwise bland dish and dried (not fresh) pasta. I tasted a few of my friends' dishes and desserts and was equally unimpressed. The atmosphere and service were good, but it's the food that counts, and I will not be returning.
Pros: atmosphere
Cons: food

The mojitos here are yummy and so it the French toast. The only bummer is that they give you small portions.
Pros: location, bar, ambience
Cons: portion size

End of an Era
by missiondoloresgirl
Last Supper Club changed ownership last fall... I just went back this week... I was really looking forward to going back there since it had been a while. The name and physical appearance of the restaurant has not changed but the food and service is a different world. Unfortunately they are charging the same prices as the old ownership but the food is worth maybe half... and unfortunately, I would not even go there if it was half price. I found the food that bad. My friend, who is not that picky, even commented that the cream in the tiramisu tasted cheap/poor quality. There are too many restaurants in this city, even in that neighborhood, that offer good food. I actually felt offended that they think they can get away with charging those prices for food not worth the trouble. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!
Pros: Ambiance
Cons: Food, Service, Prices

Cook at home and save your $$$
by muppditt
Why do people rave about the food here? What I think it is is people who don't cook for themselves and who have never eaten food IN ITALY go here and think ANYTHING they are served must be good simply because of the stylish look of the restaurant. I had seafood stew which tasted like a can of tomato puree heated up with some seafood. I don't even think it was salted and there were no herbs! My pal had lamb that was also lacking flavor; sinewy meat and not fresh tasting. Service was off the mark, with 4 different servers mixing everything up, plus thiscorny fountain thing that we were seated next to. I've eaten food in Italy and cook for myself, and it was painful to see the bill for $90 and know I could have made the entire meal 100x better for $20!
Cons: food, service

Great First Date Place
by hermommy
(yes, it was supposed to rhyme). Concentrate on the small plates to share with your date. It can get a bit loud on the weekends, therefore, you should request the downstairs dining room which is much cozier. Waitstaff is friendly....entrees are not too filling even for southern Italian cuisine. Parking is a bit tough but worth it.
Pros: Location, Ambience, Price
Cons: Parking, Parking, Parking

We had a great time!
by abbym72
Our office hosted a holiday party and I had never been to the Last Supper Club. The staff was more than accomodating and the food was plentiful and delicious. The downstairs room is a hidden gem...we'll be back next year!!!
Pros: food, service
Cons: parking

Very satisfying, pleasant surprise
by ludi
We went to The Last Supper Club as a plan B after a nearby restaurant did not work out for our group. I was very pleaseantly surprised by the ambience, professional staff, and delicious food. I am a well known picky eater and the canelloni was amazingly satisfying, my whole group enjoyed themselves and the eggplant appetizer was very good. I would reccomend this restaurant to anyone.
Pros: tasty, nice lighting, inexpensive

Souther Italian the Way it is Supposed to be
by iphillips
Wasn't sure that we should go as we went when the last owner had it and was unhappy that the menu was all over the board. The menu is much more focused and a whole lot better. I read previous reviews and it is obvious that they really don't understand authentic Italian (typical American diner). Order pasta stuffed in eggplant, the veal, ciopinno, chicken caccitora - all these were awesome. We started with yummy fried mozzerella with a spicy tomato sauce, than we had a cesear salad, the cured meat platter and the very tasty olives. And, the desserts...all were incredible. We had a very educated server named Renata (could be spelled wrong) that picked several great and unusual Italian Wines. For those of you that understand what a tasty bolognese is, GO - For those of you that think Italian is spaghetti with meat sauce, go to OLIVE GARDEN!
Pros: Great food, great selection of un
Cons: parking, noisy

Gone Down Hill
by sf94109
After hearing about the owner change and focus on "homey" italian food, I decided to give the Last Supper Club a visit. Some of the great original menu items such as lasagne, pasta and bolognese sauce, mahi mahi piccata, etc. are gone. Many of the original menu items have been replaced by various pasta items that tasted like it came from chef boyardee. I had the ziti baked with eggplant & meat sauce and all it tasted of was of salt and a slimy meat sauce wrapped in a mound of eggplant. The last supper club used to have one of the best mojitos in the city. And that has gone down the toilet as well. It was flat tasting - it tasted like lemonade with mint. If you are looking to have a dining experience similar to the old last supper club, save your money & go somewhere else.
Pros: Large menu
Cons: Food

avoid, unless you crave disappointment
by sffoodiewithfeedback
we used to go to last supper club once or twice every two weeks, for either brunch or dinner...some of the best spaghetti with meat sauce and lasagna in the city. having lapsed our attedance for about 2 months, we recently returned for dinner. everything about our experience was BAD....made to wait for 20 minutes for a table when there were MANY open, which no one ever claimed. ordered pasta which was once quite good and, this time, not worth spending our time eating and certainly not worth the newly jacked-up prices. service was as if they had asked passerbys to fill in for wait-staff. just plain BAD....I will be surprised if this is open for more than another 12 months....we in sf don't stand for this type of fall from grace....

Absolutely Loved It!
by kanrachan
I really love the vibe and the food is excellent comfort style food. I've tried almost all the dishes, and really like the skirt steak with the side arugula salad. I think it comes with french fries that are delicious, but they let you substitue for veggies if you want to save on the calories. All their vegetable sides are so yummy. Lemony string beans and the broccoli rabe are my faves. Jump in your mouth pork saltimbucca (sp?) is very savory. The fish and chicken is great also. I've come back dozens of times. The only 2 dishes that aren't really that great is the lasagne which is a little to heavy and the octopus dish.
Pros: Delicious Food, Homey atmosphere, Great Vibe
