I have been going to Coach's for a long time and really love the food and ambiance. The restaurant has always been a great place for people of all ages to stop-in for a delicious lunch. But, since its rennovation, Coach's has transformed

We ate here a few weeks ago. It had a friendly atmosphere and the restaurant had a homely feel to it. The food was not great though and we were a little disappointed.

For many years I have been going to Coach's and every time it is a pure delight! From the very friendly and attentive staff to their world famous (or at least H.B. famous) Hummus, you must try this! Some other must haves are the lentil soup, saganaki and filo triangles to start and then follow that with the oh so yummy baby lamb chops that comes with rice and vegggies with a touch of rosemary or if you are in the mood for pasta their Coach's Special Pasta is #1, made with chicken, veggies and cream sauce made fresh when you order it. Don't let me get started when it comes to their fresh fish -- tilapia, salmon, seabass, trout, all excellent, grilled and seasoned perfectly. And for you vegetarians, their Imam Bayildi (eggplant dish) and falafel are the best! You're in for a treat every time you go to Coach's!

This was BY FAR the WORST restaurant experience that I've ever been through in my entire life. We were hanging out in Huntington Beach and decided to get a bite from this restaurant, and debated between the falafel appetizer and falafel meal. The blonde waitress (and manager) took our order, and after 30 minutes of waiting, she finally gave it to us in 3 to-go boxes. We got back to the beach only to open up the to-go boxes and realize that it was the wrong order. I called the restaurant, expecting them to apologize and re-do our order like any other restaurant would. Instead, we only got attitude from the waitress (and manager) who said "well I can't do anything about it now." I proceeded to tell her that we would be returning the wrong orders and expected a full refund.

We went back into the restaurant to return the wrong orders, and the manager (and waitress) gives us $15 out of the $30 we spent, and said "this is the best I can do." I asked to speak to a manager because that was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard of, but it turns out that she was the sole employee there who was both the waitress and manager. She then tried to BARGAIN with me with regard to how much money we would get back for the order she screwed up. I demanded the full amount I had paid for the order SHE messed up, and she would not budge. Only after yelling at her for 15 minutes did we get our money back.

I will NEVER go back to this restaurant after that. That was BY FAR the WORST customer service I have EVER experienced at a restaurant.

This is one of my favorite places to go for lunch with a girlfriend. I love sitting on the patio to people watch. Their lentil soup is delicious and fresh. They have an appetizer plate with hummus, tabouleh, stuffed grape leaves and a bunch of other yummy tidbits that is enough to share. The Greek salad is excellent, crispy and chock full of the things you'd expect. Service is very good. Prices are reasonable. Also be sure to get their coffee - a Greek or Middle Eastern coffee that is robust and nutty.
