Reviews for Ken Cinema

Ratings_icons Love the selection of films here

Ken Cinema is an old school cool theater that shows an eclectic selection of films.

It's not a fancy place but I really like it. You can see some films on the big screen here that you can't see anywhere else.

this theater is in the heart of adams ave. the atmosphere is very different than neighboring san diego areas. the theater is small and usually show films that are not in the mainstream theaters, which is what makes Ken Cinema unique and great

Ratings_icons My favorite San Diego theater

The employees at the Ken are much friendlier than movie theater employees tend to be. Also, the concessions are reasonably priced. The atmosphere is very quaint, being the oldest single-screen movie theater in San Diego County.

Ratings_icons Classic theatre atmosphere.

This is a very small theater, with just one actual theater. They often play arthouse/independent/ foreign films, basically a lot of those films that are hard to find at other bigger theaters. They also often have midnight showings of more cult classics. It has a really cool, old style atmosphere. Located in Kensington.

Ratings_icons Best movies in town.

If you like me and are turn of my hollywood blockbusters that seem just like the one you saw last week, Landmark is the place to go to watch independent films. All of them are probably not the best movies but you will find gems here and there. You can find SunDance winners here every week. My only complaint is that the theatre uses the old style of seating which can be a little difficult to see the entire screen if you are sitting behind a tall person. Other than that, this is the best theatre in san diego.
