Ratings_icons Jasmine Seafood Restaurant has great food

I went there with a friend and we looked young, so the waitress didn't take us seriously but I do love the food here but its kind of pricey... and they need to fix the parking lot, potholes everywhere.

Ratings_icons Horrible Service

R b.

This place is HORRIBLE, the food is not any better and it's overpriced. The WORST customer service ever, just wasn't worth the wait for the food. Stay away from this place even if you can speak Chinese.

Ratings_icons yummy dim sum

The restaurant is decorated very chinese style and the decor is pleasing to the eye. The servers are extremely polite and really willing to help. I was unable to find my food of choice in the carts so I asked them to bring the food directly from the kitchen to me and they did so as I specified.

Speaking of carts, I love the way they push the carts around. It's just like the way they do it in China. The parking in the front is limited but there is a plethora of empty spots in the back.

Ratings_icons Great Food, A Bit Too Pricy

Phillip L. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,334

This place is great. The dim sum here is irreplacable. It is very authentic making you feel as if you were in china! The parking gets really crowded around dinner and lunch so i would head out a little earlier. They specialize in seafood so they offer plenty high quality entrees. Though the prices are a little expensive, I wouldn't mind paying it and eating here every now and then.

Ratings_icons Dim sum and one of the best Chinese restaurants in San Diego

Jason W. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 8,015

At this high-ceiling, warehouse sized restaurant the tasty and authentic dim sum (served daily 10am-3pm) is carted around in traditional style. Prices are very reasonable and the selection is quite broad. Jasmine is hands-down my first choice when treating out-of-town guests to dim sum. Avoid the weekend dim sum crowd by showing up before 11:30am. Also, avoid the crowded parking lot and park on the street if possible.

Jasmine is also a great place for dinner (and nowhere near as crowded). The dinner menu features lots of seafood and plenty of traditional Chinese entrees. Dinner prices are a tad higher than other restaurants in the area but you get high quality fare in good quantities.

PROS: The top dim sum restaurant in San Diego. Great dinner place too.
CONS: Can get very crowded on weekends after 11:30am.

Ratings_icons Nice and pricey place!

It's a nice restaurant and a little more formal than other places that I've been to. The food's good but a little more pricey. I've only been here once though.

Ratings_icons Excellent Chinese Restaurant

Albert Joe L. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,246

This restaurant is excellent. Unlike all Chinese restaurant, Jasmine served dim sum in the afternoon and traditional chinese food for lunch or dinner.

The dim sum can be considered one of the best around San Diego. It offers a lot of variety and the good thing is the food is broght to you in their own little cart or you can even order from the waiter.

The traditional chinese food is pretty good especially the peking duck. Their price is reasonable and if you compare with PF Chang China Bistro, this place offer great food in better price. But if you compare it to chinese food like Sam Woo, the price may seem a little bit more expensive.

If you like chinese food, you should definitely give this place a try and if you like dim sum, it is another reason to come to this place.

Ratings_icons Dim sum every time.

Harry T. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 5,824

What a great place to grab dim sum. This place is pretty well known to the locals for it's great dim sum menu, and although the prices are a bit high, the food is pretty mouth watering. Not a bad place to hold wedding receptions either because the restaurant is very spacious and has a lot of tables. The place gets very crowded, so expect to wait a little while.
