The Nirvana in Hollywood has nice apartments. All of the people in the building are friendly. The manager was nice (she quit). It's the authority above her that I'm not crazy about. They gave me a little bit of trouble when it came to getting my security deposit back, but we just resolved the issue today. Overall, I had a good experience, but not sure if I'd rent from them again due to the stress I had to deal with my last month of my lease.

PLEASE PLEASE do yourself a favor and do not rent from any of their apts. We moved from out of state to the Nirvana on 1775 North Orange. The Manager lied not once to our faces but everytime we dealt with her. Her lies were parking," no problem". Huge lie. They did not allow dogs. I heard non stop barking from the dog upstairs. Asked about noise. Nonstop noise from everywhere. Asked about roaches. Roaches everywhere 3 to 4 a day in the kitchen, on the bed, bathroom, everywhere. All of that aside they would not fix the heat. We had no working heat almost the whole time we were there. They fixed it half assly the last month we were there. The utilities are done through them. So we were paying 110. a month for elec and gas. No matter what!!! we were gone for weeks at a time and the amount for the utilities always stayed the same. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE
I just wanted to walk away find a new place and put the last year behind me. My deposit was 700 dollars short of the 1600 I had coming. I talked to lawyers and it comes down to this. THEY KNOW EXACTLY HOW MUCH MONEY THEY CAN TAKE AND NOT HAVE TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. 700 IS NOT ENOUGH FOR LAWYERS TO TAKE A CASE LIKE THIS. I promise that they do this to every renter. I also was told that small claims court was not a good idea. They can appeal and then come back with a lawyer. Per the lease I would be the one paying for tha

The family at Wilshire Skyline got into rental properties after having to leave the jewelry business because of their questionable business practices . They brought those unethical and unscrupulous business practices with them to their new venture of rental units. Do business with these people at your own risk, and document everything if you dare to.

Unfounded Comlpaint What Mr. Charles M. wrote about Wilshire Skyline is not accurate. Firstly The founders of Wilshire Skyline have owned several businesses since the 1940's, quite a few of which are still flourishing on an international scale. Moreover, "unscrupulous business pratices in the jewlery business" is so far from accurate, that we welcome anyone to try to substantiate this claim on this forum. It is Obvious to us that such a claim is based on a highly unreliable source.

They very diligently and systematically took care of all deferred maintenance in the building and also did a lot to improve the pool, lobby, and roof deck. Slumlords? Hell no- WILSHIRE SKYLINE DESERVES A METAL!
I just sent them a Holiday greeting. I'm here to stay.

The "review" written in a positive light is from Skyline management, trust me I have lived here 7 years, and the only reason I stay is I got in when rent was cheap. Skyline has come by four times to try to buy me out to get me to move. (so they can get market price for my unit) makes you feel real welcome? If you need something fixed good luck! Basically the tenants themselves sweep the walkways, change lights in building common areas. Not one fire extinguisher in hallways and I have changed batterys in the few alarms (smoke detectors)that work. They finally changed the filthy torn carpet after two people fell. There are plenty of great apt buildings around for less and much nicer then this place. Trust me.

It is just a shame that wrongful rumors about this building are being spread by people like "Conscientious C." Anyone who has ever dealt with this company knows that it is compassionate and kind. "Conscientious C" was just upset about something else and decided to blame the management company, a small and intimate group of people who actually care about individuals like me who reside in its buildings. if i could give this company negative stars, i would. i live at 1944 whitley avenue, managed by wilshire skyline. the building was sold from one slumlord (who finally went to jail over the summer as punishment for years of neglect of the building and blatant violations of tenant's rights) to the next, it seems. the building is in constant shambles--people urinate in the hallways and the elevator (they know who it is, and refuse to do anything--not that it matters, since the elevator rarely works anyway), nothing will ever get fixed, no matter what you do. if you like paying average to high rent to live in a substandard building that deserves nothing more than to be completely bulldozed, this is where it's at. never, ever, evereverEVER rent from these people. check out their website to see where to avoid.
