Bob was great he really took care of us! My son flushed his sock and two toy soldiers down the toilet which clogged our toilet. I called Cabrillo and they came that same day with in an hour to come and fix my problem. Bob was great and fixed the problem quick.

Very friendly plumber who did an excellent job on our water heater (new heater, pipes, valves etc) I am confident that everything will work wonderfully well and we will be safe. So far so good.

Everyone communicates great here, even the technicians. They fixed my toilet and also told me other things that needed to be done. They explained why and even showed me. The heater in our rental would not go on. A very clean, very courteous, competent Cabrillo technician arrived as promised and determined that the thermostat needed replacing. He proceeded to do that and the problem was resolved. If this were not the Internet age where you can instantly find out how inexpensive the part was, I would probably be completely satisfied, but the markup for the thermostat seemed excessive.

I called them once just to ask a question and the man who answered gave me the perfect answer to my problem. I called them the second time a couple years later to make an appointment to fix my disposal unit. I'd dropped a piece of metal into the unit and it got stuck inside the grinding part. Never before have I used such a professional service. The guy even put covers over his shoes to protect my floors. He fixed the disposal, explained the billing and what he'd done. I felt comfortable and happy to have someone from Cabrillo in my house. I will only call them from now on. And I'd tell everybody to call them, too.

Bravo Cabrillo! I had at least 3 other plumbers in my home over the last 2 years. None of them could come up with a solution to my problem. Dave P. came out and figured it out in 30 minutes. The repair was intensive, but the crew kept my home intact. Everyone was very professional. This is what service used to be like!

I called this company to have a 50 foot piece of water line run from the back of my house to the main. I had already dig the trench so that it was a one hour job at the most. When I called the company they told me that there would be a $45 charge for coming out and giving an estimate but if they did the job that would be included. At 2pm this guy shows up at my front door for the estimate and asks for the $45. He goes in my backyard for maybe a minute and comes out and tells me it will be $5600. Obviously he didn't want the job. I called another contractor who completed the work in 40 minutes for $250.

I used them recently for a water heater problem and I was literally overwhelmed by the experience. I didn' think any service company was this professional anymore. The price seemed okay to me but I didn't shop around. I would gladly pay it again for this type of service.

We had a very positive experience with Cabrillo. They showed up on time, were very pleasant and we would recommend them to anyone. They were a little more expensive than the other company, but they made up for it with good service.

Our heater broke the day before Thanksgiving. We called a whole bunch of places and no one could come to fix the heater until Monday. We were freezing and needed it fixed as soon as possible. I called Cole Hardware's referral line after hours. I got a machine, but they had an emergency line you could call. The emergency line connected me with Cabrillo Plumbing and Heating. They scheduled an appointment for the Friday after Thanksgiving at 3:00pm. On Friday they called at 8:00am, saying that they had a cancellation and asking if they could come over earlier. They were there within the half hour. When Cabrillo arrived, he immediately diagnosed the problem, had the part in his van (even though my heater is from the 70s), and fixed the heater very quickly. We were so thankful.
Then, right after Christmas our water heater started leaking. We decided to replace our ancient water heater. They sent someone over to give us estimates for several different types of water heaters (tankless, hybrid, gas). They were very honest about the limitations of my 1924 home, they recommended a gas heater in our specific case, even though other types would have generated more work for them. When we decided to purchase a heater, they were able to install in within a couple of days. Overall, they were very professional. I would definitely call them again with any plumbing or heating needs.
We had Cabrillo Plumbing and Heating install a new water heater and a new furnace. The service during installation and on subsequent service visits has been great. We appreciate that the service technicians put covers over their shoes so as not do soil the carpets. They are always polite and on time. I would especially like to commend Mitch Kennedy as being courteous and thorough. We recently renewed our service contract for three years.

"Proceed very carefully before contracting with this company. In December 2004 they did major (and expensive) sewer work for me. When a problem with the sewer recurred in September 2008 and there was a strong indication that Cabrillo's work had been sub-par, they refused to even discuss it or to accept any responsibility. They even suggested that I was trying to rip them off. There are too many outstanding plumbers in San Francisco to take a chance with Cabrillo - "buyer beware""
