I am very much grossly disappointed and disgusted on how your staffs treated me. It seems like there is no room for negative and constructive criticism from customers. The next time u wanted

LIARS!!!! Their billing practices should be completely illegal!!! My "anniversary" date is the 30th but they charge my account on the 25th. This means that when my 6 month contract is up I can cancel, that is the 30th, but they will bill my card again on the 25th because it's within 30 days. If I cancel my membership today, the 26th, they will charge the $99 early cancellation fee and STILL charge me next month! FRAUD!!!! Beware!!!!! Go somewhere else. The equipment here is crap anyway.

The equipment is old. Geogre at the front disk is specially rude. This place should be out of business.
I walked out on first visit. I will leave at that, other wise I could write a whole page of negative comments about them.

My wife canceled her membership within the 5 day grace period. We ere told she was all set and that she would get a check refunding her initial membership payment within 2~4 weeks. Instead we had an additional months fee drafted from our account the following month. I called about this and was told that they made an error and would correct it. SInce then I have not received back a dime and have been given the run around. It's been 4 months. These cowards hide behind a phone and will not talk to you live. needless to say I will be taking them to court...STAY AWAY!

Increadible experience. After wasting my time with overcrowded and overprized gyms, I am glad I joined Pure Fitness. They have a world class outdoor workout. Their aerobic classes are among the best I have experienced. Rachalle has a bomb of a Boot Camp and Will has a killer abs class. If you are looking for yoga, then you have to try Robert's class.
Their outdoor lap pool is clean and accessible.
The Pure Fitness staff is always frienly and helpfull.
They also validate 2 hours of parking Monday-Saturday. Unfortunately Sunday's parking in not validated, you need to park Sundays on the street.
Their menbership term is for one year and after the year it stays month to month with a 30 notice.
The deal Pure Fitness ofered me was reasonable. I am a student and have a light budget. I appreciate a good value and great service.
I strongly recomend Pure Fitness and sugest you go to their website and print a free pass.

Pros: heated 25 yard lap pool, classes, outside workout, open view of the skyline, parking validation

Cons: no validation of parking on Sunday

First of all, the gym is very unsatisfactory. The equipment is old. Some of it is rusty. They keep the doors open during all temperatures, so during the colder months the gym can be quite frigid inside. The locker rooms are dirty and smell.

Second, I was told when I signed up that I could terminate my twelve month contract early because I planned to move out of state in ten months for a new job. I relied on this when I signed the contract. When it came time to terminate the contract, they gave me much trouble. The only person I could speak to was George at the front desk. He told me he didn't have the authority to make the decision and that I needed to speak to the "Controller." The Controller would not answer my calls, call me back or return my emails. They finally let me out of the contract after many calls and writing three emails (each one more direct than the prior) over a two week period and showing them my (1) moving contract, (2) job offer letter from the new employer, and (3) a letter from my Florida employer especially for PureFitness verifying my start date. The most frustrating aspect of it is that George nor the Controller would communicate to me what exactly I needed to show them to "prove" that I was indeed moving. It was absurd. Don't do business with these people. These people deserve to go out of business.

beware -- too many people who I know (including me) have a very difficult time cancelling this membership. Just when I thought it was cancelled and the billing stopped .... well 9 months later I got a letter from a collection agency. In the interim ... no, I did NOT get monthly statements mailed to me telling me my balance was mounting on a membership I thought I had cancelled. Check them out with the Business Bureau ... they have an unsatisfactory rating there.

Pros: Nice View from the rooftop

Cons: equipment frequently rusty, not operational, too long of a line

Pure Fitness is having major management problems that are negatively impacting it's customers. The customer service there is now approaching abysmal. The best trainers there have recently been let go with next to no notice to the clients who signed substantial contracts in order to train with those trainers. Some clients only maintained their memberships and had signed contracts to train with these particular trainers just days before each were let go. Yet, even clients known to be in a unique position were given the run-around and in the end more or less told, too bad so sad, you're stuck training with those we have left.
The locker room is tiny and, as a result, bumping into one another and getting stuck looking at body parts you'd rather not see is common. The shampoo/conditioner in the showers are all either low quality or watered-down. The showers -- hot after someone flushes, drainage problems, rusty and moldy -- so don't forget flip flops. Men's showers have no curtains -- one has an intense spot light that reveals all. The towels feel like sandpaper. Blowdryers are old and scarce. Hot tubs and saunas have been out of order for extended periods since Oct 06. There are a number of new cardio machines, but while many of them are connected to televisions, they do not all work. The club has a variety of classes, but only a few are worth attending. The yoga classes are great, and I hear the spin classes and the Mon/Wed morning lifting classes are great. There are no late classes. The weekend hours are limited. The trainers that remain at this point are mostly new, some are are talented, but few come close to the ones that were let go. This club does not fulfill the swanky potential that you think of when you read about it or even maybe that you think when you first take your tour. Under different management the gym would have more potential, but at this point it is no award winner.

Pros: Yoga and A few good trainers remain

Cons: Poor customer service (once you've signed on the dotted line), the TV hook-ups don't all work, limited weekend hours, and the showering experience
