Capelli Lounge

Yes, I am one of those naughty people who gets on a plane to get her hair done. Why? Because Melissa B. is at Capelli Lounge in Westwood, and I am in Silicon Valley. I love her work. The cuts Ive had from Melissa have enabled me to do more with my hair than any previous styles Ive hadmy hair now works equally well air-dried curly or blown straight. I appreciate the personal attention and the feeling I receive of having her focus fully on me while Im in her chair. So many stylist 'consultations' are desultory; Melissa is 100% there. Her warmth, charm, glamour and humor are icing on the cake.

Love the vibe at this salon. I accidently found it while hanging out at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf on Gayley. Went to Melissa B. and she did a fantastic high/low-light for me as well as a long-lasting razor cut. Everyone seemed very nice, and the place as a whole is a mellow and friendly experience. Highly recommended!

Since I work closeby, I decided to stop by for a hair cut without expecting much of it. The hairdress was pretty friendly at first. She did a good job except for one side of the layers which later appeared to be more puffy than other parts. However, for the price, it's pretty decent. The only difficult part for people not in the neighborhood is that it's located in Westwood and parking is difficult...

I've had my hair cut in practically every style before, so I wasn't expecting much when I came into this salon. I just wanted a trim. However, I was delightfully surprised when I saw the finished result. Lupe styled my hair in a very classy way. It was definitely a new hairstyle. I had to ask her how she added so much volume. She's very talented.

I have been going to Laurie for haircuts/coloring on and off for the past 8+ years. I have not founs a better stylist. Since I live in Pasadena now, I find it more difficult to head to the westside for a haircut but I still go there from time to time and I always love the results. It is a reasonably priced salon, very friendly people and with excellent results.
