After losing a bet to my buddy, I was forced to take him to this restaurant to buy him dinner. I did not mind losing because I was able to take my buddy out to dinner. They have a polite and courteous staff that not only speaks Persian,

My wife and I have been coming to Shamshiri for many years. The food is great and the service was great as well until... One day we went to Shamshiri and the usual waiter was completely disrespectful and rude. First he took too long to take our order. Next, he brought out the wrong dish and when my wife told him that she hadn't order that dish. The waiter flipped and was disrespectful to her in front of everyone in the restaurant. He was forcing my wife to stop complaining and eat the dish. Well he finally reluctantly brought the correct dish out. Without any apology or anything. Like I said my wife and I used to frequent Shamshiri regularly but sadly because of that dreadful day we will no longer step foot in Shamshiri. For your information if you ever do happen to visit Shamshiri beware of this waiter (he has a scar on his forehead and his armpits stink terribly aaah and he's Persian) The bus boys are very attentive

Shamshiri is one of my favorite Persian restaurants in LA and I've been to a few. My family and I often meet up here for dinner. We start with hummus and then order chicken and beef kebobs which come with Persian rice and vegetables. I usually can't finish the whole plate even though the meat is tender and delicious. I recommend ordering tea at the end.

It's unfortunate that I haven't found a closer Persian food restaurant to my home. The main food server is not polite. I feel like it's my fault that he forgot to bring my kabob kubideh and drink refill. I am constantly polite... figuring that he might take note and reply in kind. Nope.

3 gentlemen stand at the cash register and talk to each other. The bussers do their duties without hesitation.

After eating at 10 Persian restaurants, I would rate the food at 4 out of 5.

Pros: Good Food, Reasonable Prices, The Best

Cons: None

I love Persian food! This place has the greatest kabobs. I've tried other Persian restaurants, but this place by far is the best. The atmosphere is casual and the prices are fair.

Shamshiri is one of my family's favorite default restaurants when we can't agree on what to eat. I've never seen the place crowded but it's never empty either. Actually, my family just orders to-go to bring home. I think we just normally get the combo orders of shamshiri and share it all. I comes with tender barg, juicy koobideh, and yellow rice. There's also a side of broiled tomato, seasonal vegetables, salad if you want, and pita bread with butter. The whole family is sure to enjoy it. And if you're not in the sharing mood, there's a lunch menu that's not pricey at all.

Great Middle Eastern food and very reasonable. The burnt rice is our of this world. They give you large portions so you can definitely share a meal. The only drawback is that they are located in a small strip mall on the corner of Tampa and Roscoe so finding a place to park can be hard.

Shamshiri is a Persian restaurant which is a family favorite of ours. Although their ambiance isn't that great, their food is superb. Their kebabs are always fresh and tasty and so are the rice dishes. They are a little better priced than other Persian places. The customer service is pretty good.
