Dean & Deluca Market

This store is by far the best gourmet food store I have visited. I know they are also opening one in Newport Beach Fashion Island soon, and there is a big one in NYC. The one in Napa is great because you can go in and pick up some great items, like their deli salads (example, shrimp diablo (so good), fresh asparagus salad), some yummy cheese, like a triple cream brie, some excellent paper thin salami, some delicious fresh baked bread, some gourmet sesame mustard, some fruit and pastries, and then head out to one of the wineries, and park yourself on the lawn (a really fun one is Domaine Chandon -- beautiful grounds -- check out the mushroom sculpture garden), and have a beautiful lunch. If you like gourmet foods and wines, you have to stop at the Dean and Deluca in St. Helena! This is easily the best gourmet food shop I have ever been to! There is a huge selection of fresh fruit and produce, cheese, gourmet spices, and wine, but the best part of this market is the prepared food case! The prices are not cheap, but also not overpriced, so it's definitely worth it!

PROS: Fabulous prepared foods
CONS: Not cheap
