Elite Eatery!!

by Nancy G. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,961

This firewood eatery is quite the find.

I was in San Francisco and hungry as a horse. I went into this snazzy little cafe and me and my firned were surprised by its courteous staff and all-around pleasant feeling.

The pizza was delish and I have never been so surprised by a little eatery such as this one!!

Good food-court food

by dmenkes

Our sandwhiches were a bit dry but adding additional dressing solved that. It was nice to have a food court with better selections such as this than usual. We weren't quite sure whether or not a waiter was supposed to refill our glasses and I had to resort to grabbing the iced tea myself.

Great Neighborhood Place

by fantasya

I have been to this restaurant several times and the service, ambience, and food are consistently good. Their pizza is one of the best in the city. And the tortellinis are fantastic as well. The salads are always fresh and interesting since they offer many great toppings. The warm color of the decorations makes the dining room welcoming and homey. The prices they charge are extremely reasonable, considering the quality of food and service. There is also a Firewood in Metreon, which is just as good and it's a perfect place to grab a bite before movies.

Pros: price, food, location

Tasty food at an affordable price

by lczenith

Don't come here expecting to out-do North Beach, but do come here for casual dining at a reasonable price. Plus there is usually almost no wait, and available seats for any size group. Hard to beat in the Castro. Everything I've had is tasty, especially the salads!

Pros: Quick service & seats, Tasty, Affordable

Cons: Not the best Italian, Hard to park
