I first went to Viking in 1986 and was impressed. 20 years later, it has aged like a fine wine and is truly outstanding. Jessica, the owner, is friendly, helpful, and will special order anything you can imagine. Not that you usually NEED to: they have a spectacular stock of miniatures, board games, models, etc. It is a small store, but Jessica has a knack for filling it to the brim with gaming supplies, yet not making it look crowded. She also has a knack for filling it with the RIGHT gaming supplies: everything from the mundane to the exotic. No matter what your gaming experience, you will find something here. Prices are competitive, but what really clinches 5 stars are service and selection. Wow! I now live 2 hours away over the High Sierra, but I still make the drive whenever I can, because it is my favorite game store ever. I've been gaming since 1970, and I have visited all the great game stores around the world, but Viking is still my favorite (including Jeux Descartes). I like it so much that I will drive 120 miles through the snow to buy there rather than just order online. The owner is a gem, the store itself is a treasure, and the experience of shopping there is something every gamer should have. World class? You bet!
PROS: Best, friendliest service ever. Great selection. Competitive prices.
CONS: NONE!
