Laura's Hair Salon

I found Laura on the internet! My wife wanted me to look good for an upcoming Christmas party. She told me to look my best so I hunted around on the internet until I found her. She will be the last person to cut my hair until she retires. i drove down to see her from the Sausalito area. Do you know how many places that means I drove past to get to her?

I come to the states from Dublin about 4 times a year. I happen to find Laura on the internet. I will see her everytime I come to the states.She gave me a great hair cut and told me the price before hand, and it was very reasonable! ($45.00)

i have been looking for a place to get a scissors hair cut done. I had a bad experience somewhere else where they butchered my hair with a machine. I was very happy with Lauras' hair cut and she is very reasonable as well.

Although I am still not used to my new look, I know I am going to like it in a few days.Thank you for the perm and hair cut you did for me. Laura has been perming my hair since before she opened the shop. I have known her for at least 14 years.

I moved here recently from the state of Washington. I am so glad i found Laura because I don't have the time to go back to Washington every 5 weeks to where I used to get my hi lites done. She does a great job. So glad I found her on here.

I drove 40 minutes to see Laura for my haircut. I go see her every two months. I have been her customer for over 5 years. Every time I see her i am very pleased with her work.

I can't believe that Laura has all these people praising her haircut. I thought I must have gone to the wrong Laura until I saw the bad review below stating she is 2 doors away from Imagine - but of course considering all the great reviews I thought that one was just off the wall. Considering all the great reviews I thought I was headding for someone that knew how to cut hair. I was surprised that on a Friday Afternoon at 3pm I was still able to get an appointment at 5pm - first hint. When I arrived I was shocked at how shabby the salon was - second hint, but I was positivly suprised since Laura looked quite hip and still thinking about all the positive reviews and thought - let met try her out. She listened closely to what I wanted and told me it was $45 for a haircut like that. I thought ok, that's up there for a salon like this, but hey if it is a good haircut I don't mind. I told her I wanted a modern long layered haircut (I have beyond shoulder long hair). I got up from the chair thinking she would wash my hair, but she proceded pointing to the cutting chair - couldn't quite understand her broken English. So I thought hey ok she first cuts and then washes hair - third hint. She kept on cutting and cutting layers into the hair. From the 1 inch haircutt she cutt about 2-3 Inches off my hair. I ended up with a haircut that had more layers than I had in the 80s. On top of it it turned out that if I wanted my hair washed I had to pay another $17, that would make the haircut be $62. One has to go to a really great salon to have to pay $62 for a haircut. I could tell that she did a mess with my hair and refused, there was no way I wanted her continue working on my hair. I went home and washed my hair hopping the damadge done was not that bad. Unfortunately it was, my hair had no shape or style, I can't ware it down, so I mostly will have an up-do for the next couple of months. There is no way Laura has all this followers that are regular customers not paid relatives and friends that write the review. You can tell I am mad. Still not convinced, go ahead and try her out, but don't come back and say I didn't warn you.

I come to see Laura from Seattle. My husband, my son and daughter all come to see her as well. I just show her a picture of what I want her to do and she makes it happen. We are very pleased with her work.

I am a vice president and I give talks everyday. My hair has to look like i just came out of the salon, and 100% professional. That is why I go see Laura. No one ever asks me if I just had a haircut. I have been going to see her for over 11 years.

I like the way Laura does my hair and hair color. When you go see her she tells you the price up front. That way there are no surprises after the job is done. I go see her every 4 weeks for a hair cut and hair color. She is very honest and does a great job.

My fiancee has been coming here for many years. She does a great job on haircuts and women as well. We are getting married in September and will have Laura do the hair for the wedding party. Her prices are very reasonable.

i had to get out of town in a hurry and catch a plane on Sunday night! I went and saw laura right before i flew out and I can't believe how great of a job she did for me. I will go back the next time I need my hair cut!

I really enjoy going to Laura's! She is always very friendly and the value is so good for what she does. I love how my hi-lites look when she is done. In this day and age it is all about the value. You have to go there.

I get great value for the money at Laura's hair salon. Every time I bring in a new customer I get a break on my haircut and so does the new customer. that is such a great way to say thank you to your customers!

i went to laura's and I just got here from new york. i didn't know any place to get my hair done before my wedding. i looked on the web and saw all of the great reviews and made my awesome decision based on that. She did a great job for my wedding hair style. everyone in my wedding commented "where did you get your hair done, it is so cute!"

And now she has her awesome customer rewards program. when you bring in a new customer you get 15% off of your services trhat day and so does the NEW customer! What a fabulous idea! every time i come in with a new friend we all win!

I am in this area for at least 15 years, i have never found a better haircut since I found Laura. She does a wonderful job for my hair, it is very difficult. She has a way to work with difficult hair.

laura does a great job with color and i love when she shampoos my hair. I have been coming to see her since 2000. She always does a great job with my hair color and has never missed it one time. Even now since i have moved to San Francisco I come back to see her.

If you want to have your hair designed, Laura is the one. She can do everything you ask as long as you bring the picture to her or show her in the styling book the style you want. She will give you advice if this style will look good on you or not. Laura will choose the best hair style to fit your faces look. I highly recommend her, she is very good.

After she has done my haircut no one can even tell I have had a haircut. She does a great professional job for me. I have been her customer for over 10 years.

I drive from Concord to Mountain View to see so you KNOW how many salons I drive past to get to her. She is great and I highly recommend her.

There's another hair salon 2 doors down the street, called Imagine. I usually go to Imagine. It's bigger and cleaner. But this one day there was a long wait at Imagine, so I went next door to Laura's --- there was NO customer. That should have been enough of a warning for me to avoid, but....

So I demanded a haircut. She asked me how short I wanted it. I said "rather short because I haven't had a haircut for 3 weeks." She almost shaved my head! I still don't understand why she cuts hair so short, because an ex-girlfriend also got her long hair cut in half by this Laura a few years ago.

On top of that, she charged me around 30 bucks for the haircut because washing hair was another 11 or 12 bucks, and I asked to have my hair washed. WHAT! Imagine will wash your hair, cut your hair, and wash again for 16 bucks. I paid about twice the price at Laura's.

The short hair made me so ugly, my girlfriend dumped me. Now I have one more ex-girlfriend, thanks to Laura!

Bottom line: unless you want a shaved head, avoid this place. I will never go back here again.

Laura is very nice and friendlly person. I have been her customer for more than 7 years. Her fee's is higher than some of the hair cuts place in down town Mountain view. I like her hair cut since it is more modern. You don't need to wait for long time for appointment.
