Entertaining and great food

by Libra W. | insider Insider | Rank: 13,765

Great, family friendly restaurant -- an ideal place to go for birthday or special occasion. The staff is amazing and talented. I was just as amused as my son when watching them prepare the food for us w/ various knife tricks.

Great Japanese Food Experience!

by Angel W. | insider Insider | Rank: 19,044

I've only een to this place a couple of times, (it's on the pricey side) but I just love it. It is a Benihana style restaurant; they prepare your food on a grill right at your table. The chefs are just as much entertainer as cook. We had so much fun just watching them work! I had the best fried rice I have ever tasted at Kyoto Palace. I would have been happy to eat only that, but there was more to come! It was great!

Beware of Flying Objects at the Teppan Table

by bellakaye

I went with my boyfriend for dinner and sat at the teppan table. All in all it was a fun experience as teppan cooking always is. I would recommend ordering the fried rice which costs a little extra, b/c the chef cooks it for you right at the table. The two complaints I had was that while the chef was "throwing" around his cooking utensils it flew out of his land and landed in my boyfriends' empty plate. Luckily it didn't hit the water. I guess it's the assumption of risk you take sitting at the teppan table. Second, I thought throwing the chicken pieces for you to catch in your mouth was gross, especially since I was caught off guard and it hit my clothes. The food was good although my steak wasn't really seasoned.

Pros: Teppan, Dinner Specials

Cons: Flying Objects, Too buttery, Hard parking at nite
