I love the food here. The lunch buffet is great. It's a great value because you can sample all the different items. The butter chicken is awesome, and I love the vegetarian items.

Yum, its good! I had a serious craving for Indian and I thought it would take me a while to find a place. I got lucky and found this place my first try! It's hidden in Marina Pacifica and I would have never found it if a friend hadnt told me it was there. Plenty of tables and great views. The servers are friendly and all the food came out quickly. I really liked the Chicken Malai. The garlic naan was also really good. Unfortunately, I was too full to sample any of the desserts but I will!

Good Indian in Long Beach
by Jen3014
I have visited this place one for a quick and it was lovely. I think they have a lunch buffet I \would like to check out. Its the Best indian food I have had in Long Beach so far. Prices were appropriate and the little view was adorable. Service was great and food was served in a timely manner.
Pros: good food
Cons: no music was playing.

Great Food. That one bad waiter.
by MartinMarcos
I go here all the time. I suggest getting the Naan(bread) and Tanddori Lamb that is brought to your table still sizzling and taste great. The regular thing I get is the Chicken Masala with Rice. The Flavor is so good and the rice is so fluffy and light. I have went to the Buffet on the weekend the food is good but when you go for dinner and the food is made fresh its outstanding. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because there is this one grumpy waiter that is sometimes there, just messing up the service. There is also the complete opposite in another waiter that may just be the owner he is so happy and helpful when you go there.
Pros: Awesome Food.
Cons: That one bad waiter and it's hard to find the restaurant

It is like other indian Resturants, not better
by beecon
I am an Indian and was told by my country people that the food in this place is really great. I drove almost 40 miles to eat here, but disappointed very much. We order chicken tikka and mixed curry (lamb and chicked mixed) and CHICKEN BIRYANI. I ate chicken Biryani in Resutrants in Artesia (Pioneer Blvd, go to Masala Bowl, Shan). That is the typical taste of Biryani. But here they mixed the chicken curry and white rice and added rasins and cashews etc, which I can do it myself and need not pay the Biryani Price. Very much disappointed and know lot of regular Indian resturants to that (mixing curry and white rice to make Biryani). Service was OK. I did not have much impression on the seating arrangements and kind of felt not sitting in a Resturant (it could be because it is in the basement).
Pros: Food is OK
Cons: don't offer Biryani, Rearrange seating, Disposal area visible

Love it...
by koma49
I'm certainly not an expert on Indian cuisine -- but I've tried about 20 or so Indian restaurants. This one is among my very favorites. Nice setting for a relaxing dinner. Unique flavors -- and the sauces are the best I've ever had. Try the warm Indian tea. I could drink gallons of it. Only negative is that the service can be somewhat "casual" --and sometimes you'll find yourself being almost a bother to get a refill -- or that kind of thing. It's well worth it. Good value -- great selections!
Pros: Best sauces!, Best tea!, Good buffet!
Cons: Casual service

Good, but...
by mapoul
Kamal Palace has a very nice setting (location, view, decor). While the food quality was very good, the taste was just average. The chicken tikka masala had a distinct barbeque flavor that I wasnt used to (Im no expert but Ive had tikka masala from at least ten different restaurants and it never tasted like that). The samosas were bland, however the tamarind and mint sauces made them great. Everything else was fine, but not great. Anyway, give it a try and you may like it, it just isnt my favorite.
Pros: Food quality, Location

Amazingly Satisfying
by hauoli
Everything about this place is great. The food, the service, the ambience... entirely satisfying experience. The vegetable korma and saag paneer are must-have favorites. But leave room for a cooling mango lassi or rice pudding. The dockside patio is perfect for a bridal shower or birthday party. And their lunchtime buffet is the best way to try several dishes at an affordable price.
Pros: affordable, good parking, prompt seating
