Rude, dishonest and unprofessional. Poor customer service. That Kaz has no breeding! Don't go to this dealer. They won't treat you like a customer and will tell you that the bank is paying them not you.

Giving this dealership 1 star is being too generous. Please, anyone of thinking of buying a mazda or any car stay faaaar away from this place. Hands down the absolute WORST car buying experience of my life..!!! This place is disgusting from the dirty interior of the place to the greasy, lying sales people.
Just bought a 2010 Mazda 6 and when it was time to sign the paperwork that's when the snake in the shape of a finance guy shows his face. First I get the non-stop barrage of warranty sales pitches and then the bold and intentional fraud. I was promised a free paint sealant with the purchase of my car so I'm thinking ok why not. So after I take the car home and was just looking through my paper work i discover that I was charged for this promised "free" service. So I naturally become very heated and drive back down to the dealership ready to physical harm to that fiance guy who just happened to be off that day. But they were quick to re-do the contract and take the charge off and offer it for free.
I still don't even want anything from them free or not and do not want anything to do with them. I will find another dealership to do any work that I need done to my car. Take my WARNING and stay far away from this place.

I'd been shopping for a new vehicle for a while and had my mind set on a used Mazda RX-8. Tried searching the LA and San Diego areas and visited several dealerships but always ended up disappointed (especially with Hine Mazda in Mission Valley). A friend recommended Westcott Mazda in the National City Mile of Cars? So I drove south expecting more of the same ?? Surprise, surprise, not only was the selection better and my salesman straight-forward, friendly and knowledgeable but I was able to negotiate a good deal and now own the car of my dreams! I strongly recommend anyone looking into to buying a car, to visit Westcott Mazda in National City. And Kudos to Francisco (my salesman) for his professional candor and honest service!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!

The finacing department (or should I say individual) at Westcott Mazda in Nation City happily gave us the absolute worst customer service / buying experience I have ever had.

My biggest mistake, not looking online at the reports on their service and financing. Also spoke with my sister who had some nightmares with their parts department.

RUN AWAY!!!

So where do I start... Was low balled on my 2007 Magnum Trade in But did it anyway- should have went to Car Max instead for most out of your trade in. Got the Car home Engine Light Came on, they said they would reset but never mentioned fixing the sensor. My Brother is a Tech so he reset but the Light Still comes back on. One of the power switches on the Drivers side does not work, I metioned it to them and they never offered to fix. The Sales Manager Kaz was not really too profesional and I actually left the Dealer Ship the first time becuase the offering deal was crazy. Called back and finally made the deal, HOWEVER no wheel lock key was supplied but they offered to remove the lugz but charge me for new ones WTF. I love the car its sick, but I would never go back to do Business with them.. The place is kinda nasty and dingy.

Joey the Internet sales guy was super nice. TO JOEY GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN MAN.

I'm the type of person who usually doesn't write reviews, but I do try to read a lot of them before I spend my hard earned money. I had to write a review about Westcott because of the extra mile they went in getting me what I wanted. I went through a lot of hassle before buying from them. Around a week ago I bought a new Mazda 3. I work around 60 hours a week, and I travel everywhere on the west coast and the neighboring states. I need a car that gets great gas mileage, and is reliable. The 3 looked like it would work for me. After researching some pricing online, I found a great deal on some Mazda 3's at a few dealerships. I called Bob Baker Mazda on the phone, and they quoted me a price that they couldn't honor when I got there. (I am not talking about tax and licensing.) Then they didn't even have the car I wanted in stock. Than they had a manager try to explain to me for 3 hours about the price and how they were gonna get the car from somewhere else. It was way too much talking, with very little action. I was done with Bob, or Mike, or whoever. Then I tried John Hine. When I called they told me they had two of the exact cars I wanted, color and all. They had the higher price of the three, but they were actually closer to where I live. It was a complete waste of time. The first car I wanted to test drive wouldn't start. Finally when it got down to numbers, they were trying to charge me extra fees that were clearly left out of the number they provided to get me to come in to the dealership. What another waste of time. I was done with John. I called Westcott Mazda a few days later when I had another small break from work. I spoke with Justin on the phone. I had a lot of questions, and he had a lot of answers. It was nice to get a complete answer to all my questions without being pressured to come in. I explained my work schedule and he told me to come on in when it was convenient for me. A few days later I went in and asked for Justin. It turned out that Justin was a manager at the lot. He set me up with one of his salesman. I ended up choosing one of the 3's I wanted and buying the car. They made me feel comfortable and welcomed. I was able to get the car I wanted at a significantly lower price than what he quoted to me when I first contacted Westcott. (It was in the thousands.) He and his staff went that extra mile and stayed late after work to get the deal done for me. Wow! What great customer service. Bottom line: I got exactly what I wanted, at the price and financing rate I wanted, and the service was top notch. There was zero pressure from the sales staff to "get the sale." If you want to buy a car, visit Westcott Mazda so you can see for yourself what a real car buying experience should be all about. Thanks Westcott!

I had THEE best car buying experience at Westcott Mazda. I had been looking for a specific mazda cx-7 with certain packages and they had it! I looked in all of cali, and even in oregon and washington but they had it and for such an AMAZING price I drove down as soon as I got off work to see if I could get a good value for my trade in and I most definatley did! They were professional and completely informal throughout the entire procedure. I have never been so comfortable buying a car in my life. They did not push, prod or argue with me once. And did I forget to mention they gave me an incredibly interest rate one my bank couldnt even come up with! They were very very easy to negotiate with, they try and meet your price not the other way and that is definatley the first time I have encountered that. I honestly can say in two years or so when I plan on trading my husbands car in if he wants a mazda we are going straight back to westcott mazda.

I normally can't stand buying cars. But I just purchased my brand new Mazda 3 from Westcott Mazda and the negotiating was pressure free. I got a good deal, the salesperson was knowledgeable and nice, and they honored everything they told me over the phone. Yes, i would recommend this dealership to anyone who is looking for an easy car buying experience.

I hate car salesmen.

Talked to "joseph", went in and asked for "joseph". First, he wasn't there. Then when they found I wanted to buy, "joseph" leaped out of God knows where to sell me whatever I wanted.

Dealt with James mostly, he was a cool guy, I guess. I have pretty crappy credit, and they worked with me, which I was very appreciative. I told them flat out, the payment I wanted and the amount I wanted the car for.

TIPS TO THOSE WHO GO THERE: The price is negotiable. nothing is concrete with these guys. Name your price, and they will make it work. They tried to stick me with $350 a month payment, which "was the best" they could do. Told them I wont pay a dime over $300. Holy crap! they were able to make the price go down magically!

I was looking to down size my current 8 cyclindar car. I sold the car and was looking at Mazda's and Toyota's. A friend recommended Wescott Mazda. They had a good selection of cars, and I told them I was just looking and they said okay...I got the salesperson's name and after looking over the lot, I went and located him. We took a test drive, he answered alot of questions for me, and pulled out the Mazda car book for me also to look thru. I got the car I wanted for the price quoted and a great lending rate. I love my car !! Everyone there was friendly and courteous. I would recommend this place to family ( which they went down for a car repair and got great service) and friends.

I recently went to Westcott Mazda to buy a used car. I can't tell you what an unpleasant experience it was for me. I was there for three hours, had an agreed-upon price, was at the finance guy's desk when he told me it was $1,500 more than I was told it was going to be. These people are nice and helpful until it's time to sign, and then the game changes. When I confronted the salesman, he just backpeddled and said "I told you it would be around that price." Well, that's not "around" to me. And when I go to close a deal, usually I've agreed to a price, not "around" a price. I wouldn't ever buy a car from this dealership, and I wouldn't ever recommend them to anyone, either.

They were very nice in the begining until I signed the papers. When I test drove the car, they brakes squeked & they said it was because the car was sitting there & it hadn't been driven. Also because it was cold outside & it needed to warm up. I beleived everything they told me. I'm a first time car buyer. I just bought the car on Wednesday, & they told me my car had a 36,000 mile warranty w/them or 3 years. It's a 06 Toyota Corolla S w/33,265 miles. We all thought thst meant until I reach 69,265 miles!! So basically I have under 3,000 miles until the warranty is up w/ them! I went in yesterday & spoke with a "Manager" & said that the brakes were new & that I need to break them in! WHo's right?? Are they new? I asked if they were factory brake pads or after market? He said factory of course, but didn't prove it in writing! PLEASE DON'T BUY A USED CAR HERE, UNLESS YOU ASK EVERY QUESTION THERE IS ABOUT USED CARS!!
Another manager there said I can't do anything anymore about returning the car because I already gave them my check & was cashed in. Basically saying "You're screwed & stop wasting my time!" Rude & made me cry because I was so angry!!! :(

These guys are SCAM artists!! I just brought a brand new 2010 Mazda 3, first they told me they had a special interest rate only for the 2010 then when I went to buy it they said "no that's only for the 2009". They were supposed to give me $1500 for my trade in and I just went through my paperwork and they are only paying off the loan!! These guys are professional thieves! I was warned but didn't listen... I wish I would have went to the one off the 8, I had stopped by but was told they didn't have the same interest rate special and went and got screwed over by these douche bags!!!

I recently went to westcott mazda, I was looking for a mazda6. I wanted a V6. I looked online and found the car I wanted at Westcott Mazda. When I went down to get the car I spoke with the sales manager, we did some calculations and figured that the car I wanted would cost me to much, however he offered another mazda6 that was used. It had only 15,000 miles on it and it was only a year old. I loved it, it came with a 60,000 mile warranty. And they were able to give me a FANTASTIC deal on financing. A low 1.5% interest rate. and my credit is not that good. The service dept. has always treated me with respect. and when my engine light went on, they fixed the problem free of charge. (it was a spark plug that needed replacing.) This is a wonderful dealership, I wish more salesmen were as nice as Westcott salesmen are.

Our salesman was very nice and offered us a great deal via email before we went in there. Once we got there, however, and got half-way through the paperwork, their "heavy" came in and was extremely condescending towards us. He offered us a price for our trade in that was $4500 less than the blue book value and was so rude to us that we left. We'll never go back there again.

He offered us a price for our trade in that was $4500 less than the blue book value and was so rude to us that we left. We'll never go back there again.

I brought my Mazda5 that I purchased new from Westcott in for the sixth time to have the key fob repaired, which I leave as a spare at my house which stopped working from lack of use? 1st visit: Service manager fixed half of key and in turn damaged the other half so the two would not stay together. 2. Supposedly got a new bottom half which fell apart on the way home about ten miles. 3. returned and they pushed the two half's together called 3-4 hours later to say it was fixed. 4. and 5. visit was the same as #3. VISIT 6. I was angry wanted to talk to service manager, after he explained to me how the warranty system works and trying to degrade my intelligence finding that I was not going to take that explanation for why they had my ca for three business days and still failed he proceeded to tell me now that they fixed it as a good will thing because I bought the car from them and that they shouldn't have fixed it because now he is saying I broke a key that hangs on a wall in my garage. And they damaged my car twice now while they have had it in their service departments care, massive dent in passenger door and scratched up center console. ALOT OF SHADY CHARACTERS WORK HERE!!! CAUTION TO ALL
I WILL BE TAKING MY CAR TO JOHN HINE THE OFEERED TO FIX ALL OF WESTCOTT'S MISTAKES.

After the closure of El Cajon Mazda, I received a letter from Mazda to have my Warranty service performed at Westcott. I took the car to Westcott for routine service (~25K) and later found that at least one item they claimed to have serviced (battery check and cleaning) was never done.Shortly thereafter the battery died and upon removing the battery cover to jump the car it was badly corroded. When this was reported to the service manager he made a lot of non-sense and was indifferent and defensive. I reported the the problem to Mazda Customer Service and was advised to have the car servied by John Hine Mazda.

Shortly after my car being stolen my husband and I began looking at cars. We knew about the Mazda3 and Westcott Mazda was able to help us get the car that fit our wants/needs. The people were very informative and urged us to go online and do research ourselves before making a decision. In researching we found that the facts the dealership told us were accurate and 3 days later we make our purchase. I am very happy with my car and their service department is wonderful. I would recommend Westcott Mazda to anyone.

My grandfather and I went to this dealership back in 2003, He ended up surprising me by getting me a Mazda Millenia. It was all ok, The sales guy was very convinving that this would be a good car and it is but they failed to tell me that the car was previously crashed! When later on It was pointed out by one of the friends that the whole back bumper had some cheap paint and was starting to peel. Never ever shop at the Westcott dealership in National City. These guys r Crooks!

The sales staff at Mazda of National City appear to be very courteous and helpful while selling a car. Unfortunately as soon as the car is sold all professionalism goes out the window. They are very dishonest and do not back up their word. While selling you a car they will misinform you and conduct themselves in a very condescending manner. Their dishonesty reaches new heights and what??s more disturbing is that they know and simply ignore this. It is important to not encourage such behavior through continued costumer service at such a dealership. Do not buy your car from this dealership at any cost.

I purchased a Mazda 3, 5 door and I have to say that I love it. When I purchased the car I made sure to ask if the CD player would play mp3s and the sales lady asked her boss and came back and said it does, so I went ahead and purchased the car. I drove the car for about 2 weeks the decided to burn some mp3 cds and check out the stereo and it did not work. I went to the dealer and they said that the website was misleading and that they misinformed me but it would cost 542.00 to put the mp3 changer in the car. I got mad and said that they sold the car by lies and that they need to put the mp3 player in the car and then they sent in the big salesman to play the heavy and to ask me to calm down, and that I just have to live with it not playing mp3s or purchase an upgrade for 542.00. Needless to say, I did not get the MP3Player and I would not tell an enemy to purchase a car from this type of dishonest sales force. The car is great but the dealer will tell you anything to sell you a car, even if it is all lies.........

PROS: Great car, fun to drive
CONS: Wescott Mazda would lie to their own mother to sell her a car

I never thought buying a car could be such a pleasant experience. The salesman was very helpful and not pushy at all. The dealership set up financing at a good rate. When I've taken the car in to be serviced, I've never had to wait and the work has always been professional and speedy.

I bought my car from this dealership and it was a good experience. They offered a fair price for the vehicle. The salesmen were friendly and helpful, but not overly pushy. I was not pressured into buying a vehicle, which was nice. I was
