For the first time since I moved to Los Angeles 4 years ago I have found a trusted car mechanic. This is a very small and unassuming repair shop, but they do honest, inexpensive and reliable repairs. They even called me back several days after my car was fixed to thank me for my business and to make sure I was not having any other issues. As a woman, I an not nervous to take my car in because all of the people there treat everyone with kindness and respect. I would recommend Pinky's to anyone!!

Best Service and Highest Quality Work in L.A.

What a pleasure it is to be able to finally say, I've found the greatest mechanic team around!!! Honest, hard working, thorough follow-up and great results was my experience. I needed some major work done on my pick-up truck and I drove to five places for quotes. Pinky's had a great team and seemed very knowledgeable so I thought I would give them a try. During the whole process all my calls were returned the same day, they even called to tell me they weren't going to repair something I thought was the problem because it didn't need it!!! The prices they quoted were the best from the five places I visited and the end bill was even less than their quote... I can not recommend any one better than this in LA, they are a little ways away from where I live but the drive is worth it! I finally found a mechanic I can trust and doesn't waiste my time, I'm a customer for life!
Pros: Honest, hard working, thorough follow-up and great results
Cons: going here usually means something is wrong with your car...

My New Auto Mechanic

Alright, I had one problem that would have cost $30 that I left untreated for a couple weeks that created several other problems amounting to $300. Pinky's knew Volkswagen, was courteous, not condescending, and reasonable when given the price breakdown. I did have the gasp moment when hearing the total bill, but everything made sense, they didn't overcharge for labor and they let me keep my car there (free of charge) for an extra day until I had a ride to pick it up. I like supporting everything about Pinky's, they rock!
Pros: Affordable, Kind, Foreign Car Compatible, Small Business Owner Charm
Cons: Pinky's II was not as nice as my Pinky's

These guys are Top Notch

I never thought I would go on CitySearch to compliment a car mechanic as I?ve dealt with my fair share of dishonest, inept car mechanics in the past, but I just went through a four month ordeal and thought I would share with everyone what the guys at Pinky?s did.
I had to bring my car in to Pinky?s when the geniuses down at EZ Lube somehow managed to bungle a simple radiator flush and overheated my car. I spoke to their manager and he told me to take it to Pinky?s. These guys were COMPLETELY OBJECTIVE and went step by step to correctly diagnose the cause, starting with the thermostat, then the water pump and radiator. When none of that worked, they eventually found the engine was cracked because of EZ Lube and now I needed a new motor. My engine was totaled. Once I got EZ Lube to accept responsibility for the damage (a nightmare in itself), Pinky?s did a nationwide search and finally located one that not only fit my car, but was a quality engine as well. They got it shipped, delivered, and put it in fast. I?m now back on the road and the car drives great.
These guys, Dion and Ralph, worked with me and EZ Lube over a VERY LONG period of time to find the right solution to the problem. I?m sure some mechanics would have told me to take my car elsewhere after four months of my car sitting on their lot, but these guys stuck with me the entire way and helped me get my car fixed right. They?re just a couple of cool, honest guys who do great work and I would recommend to anyone. And judging from comments I heard from other customers while I was there, plus the amount of cars that I noticed are always on their lot, it just reinforced to me that they?re running an honest, dependable, and reasonably-priced business. I?m not even going to mess with EZ Lube or Jiffy Lube anymore, not even for simple flushes or oil changes. These guys have my business now.

Honest mechanics, great price, weird name

I love this place. I called up to get an estimate, which they couldn't do over the phone. The lady just said "about a third what the dealer will charge"
She was absolutely right. The guys there just charged me for the work I needed. Another part I had been worried about they said was fine and didn't need to be replaced. Plus they got the work done on time the same day, just like they promised. I was really happy with their work.
I will use them again.
Pros: Honest, reasonable prices, fast
