Outside of Chicago, Petrillo's is my favorite, Yes the service is terrible but the pizza is great! I work in the service industry and I understand those of you who are frustrated with their service. However, their service does not reflect the product. When I go to the restaurant I understand that the wait is long and I am patient but assertive with the staff therefore I never have any problems. Stop whining and just appreciate their food.....PERIOD.

I've been a long time patron and will probably continue to be (take out). It's not the pizza I'm complaining that needs re-tooling, it's the SERVICE. One word:LOUSY. After ordering waits are long and painful as one has to request everything upfront or you will be forgotten. The owners NEED to reciprocate the loyalty by spending some effort on hiring more staff or doing a staff overhaul. Maybe then tips would be bigger and the experience wouldn't be bittersweet.

The antipasto salad is the best around. I have seen their large square pizza reduce in size over the years. I lived in the San Gabriel Valley 10-15 years ago and that was the only pizza place we went to. The antipasto salad, with the cubed cheese was the best. I was in the neighborhood recently and went by around 10 p.m. on a Saturday night, went into the take-out side, ordered waited 10-15 minutes and had the best pepperoni pizza in years. The pepperoni were crunchy on top, just the way I remember. Still a great pizza place.

we have been going to Petrillow for over 43 years, we were dating when we were going there. We still return there even though it is a hour and a half away. Sunday we went to the one in Glendora which we do because it is a little closer to us. First of all we are informed that they no longer will carry the blush or white zin by the carafe, will just carry the dryer wines by the glass or bottle. I am not a dry wine person so I was not happy. But they had a little left over so we did get the blush. But the next time I guess we are out of luck. But when we received out pizza , we ordered a medium, there wasn't as much of a topping as ussual especiallt cheese. We didn't have as much left over as we usually do and it was put in a flimsy box to take home. We were VERY DISAPPOINTED with the pizza. We will try the one in So. San Gabriel and if it is the same, sadly to say we will not ever go back and we will never brag about the best pizza we have ever had nor will we ever reccommend it to anyone. And what a shame after all these years. And the owner will know how long we go back because we were going there when Shirley worked there and they had Royal Host ruby port and he said he was a bus boy when we were going there. Sadly disappointed. And I loved the pizza. Linda Lotter

This is a great place and worth the wait.
We usually get the special pizza with the works.
This place is worth the long drive.
The pizza is so heavy cause they pile on the ingredients.
Everytime I know I'm going to be in the San Gabriel area I make sure to stop and get a pizza to go.

This is the authentic italian restaurant in the neighborhood. The service is usually unfriendly and if you come late your pizza is likely to be overcooked. This use to the the ONLY place I would buy my pizza. I think they really need to get better employees and work on bringing back the quality.

PROS: location has been updated due to a fire not long ago
CONS: poor service & food quality has declined

The best pizza not only in town, but probably the next 20 mile radius! Yum yum. Someone wrote that if God were to order pizza, he'd get it from here.

We love to order plain cheese because it is just so good. Sometimes we treat ourselves to pepperoni with which they are very generous. A small is big enough for two to have leftovers and if you order a medium, you'd better be hungry or have several people to share it. The large is for a party!

My daughter says, "There should always be a box of leftover Petrillo's in the fridge." There often is.

PROS: Quick take-out service; reasonable prices, too.
