Excellent, well priced vet. My kitty was hit by a car a few days ago and taken to another nearby vet clinic. After being bounced to emergency clinics and specialists who recommended CAT scans and $4500 surgeries, and after paying over $1200 in diagnostics, IV fluids and hospitalization fees, I called Dr Cabaluna.
He took good x-rays that clearly showed where the breaks were, and within 30 mins had given me several options for treating my cat. Then he wired his jaw that day.
The staff were very compassionate, both to my kitty and me. Where the specialists whisked my kitty away after a brief consult and asked for my credit card, Dr Cabaluna checked out the inside of my cat's mouth and explained what he saw, then took (useful) x-rays while I waited and explained them as well. It was such a relief to finally find someone who could figure out what was wrong.
The clinic is no-frills. The building isn't quaint and pretty and there are no kittens playing in glass cages in the waiting room. It's an old-school vet clinic where they take the right x-rays and mend the cat. You can also trust them not to pad the bill.
If my cat had gone to the Peninsula Ave Clinic first, he would have been back home a day earlier and I would probably have saved about $1000.
