This place was introduced to me by my wife..She placed a few of our items for sale here...It was pretty neat, no hassle and when they sold we received our portion.

I go through here at least evey couple of months to see if I can find a treasure... they have lot , but I have not found mine yet. I have sold a few items through here and I find it so easy to do.

To paraphrase one of the other reviewers, I fall into the category of "lazy and don't care" when it comes to selling furniture. I'm willing to sacrifice a fair amount of the sales price in order to avoid having strangers come to my home, inspect my stuff, and haggle over payment.

So when we moved last time (and knew that we wouldn't keep most of our furniture), I hired Home Consignment Center to handle the sales. They first sent out an estimator to give us approximate prices for all of our pieces; they then sent movers to the house who packed everything up and took it to the store. When things would sell, I would receive checks for my cut of the sale, net of the consignment center's fees and the cost of the movers -- so I paid no money to them up-front.

Definitely not the best way to get top-dollar for your used furniture, but if you're looking for a hassle-free (and stranger-free) process, it's the way to go.

PROS: Very easy way to sell used furniture
CONS: Store takes a large cut of the selling price

The Home Consignment Center offer anything at any time. You can take your own items, get them apprized, and have them sold at the HCC. They do keep a good percentage of the amount of the total sale, but if you are lazy and don't care, this is the way to go

this is a reasonable place to pick some up good quality used furniture when you don't need to buy new. Styles tend to be boring suburban, not much in the way of funky edgy or unusual stuff though
