Victor did a very good job for my hair. He doesn't talk much, just listen to me and he cut my hair EXACTLY the way I wanted. I pass his name to my roommate, and she's very happy about his work too. It is so nice to have a perfect hair to meet all my family on thinksgiving.

I've been a customer of Annie's for a long time, and have never had any problems with her. She's understood what type of haircut I wanted. I've been to other hair salons where some of them do not even speak English and just start clipping away.
Out of all the stylists there, she's probably the best one that can speak English.

Never again in this lifetime or the next will I go back to this place. I haven??t had a haircut this bad in TWO DECADES, and the only reason why I had bad haircut back then was because I was eight trying to be 28 and didn??t know how to choose a simple haircut. I specifically stated that I was trying to GROW OUT my hair because I have several weddings to attend this year, three of which I am part of the entourage, and I wanted my hair to start having some length so I can have different styling options for each wedding. Now thanks to Image Plus/Shing??s Studio/The Worst ??Salon? EVER, I now have less hair than I did six months ago when I initially cut off 11 inches from my locks. I had asked to simply clean up the dead ends because I needed them freshened up. Apparently, ??clean up? to this person, Annie, meant shear away at your hair like there is no tomorrow. Now instead of my hair looking nice and healthy, it looks I stick my finger into an electrical socket every morning when I wake up. Now for the color and highlights?

I don??t know if you??ve ever seen a picture of an actress or model in a book or magazine and thought, ??Hey, I want my hair colored like that. That looks pretty. I??ll just show the stylist the picture, so she can see exactly what I want.? Simple, right? Not at this ??Asian? salon. She suggests that going back to my natural color would be too dark and too much of a contrast with the highlights I wanted, so she suggested I go with a shade lighter than my natural color so that there is not too much contrast. She even showed me a swatch of what color my hair would be. Honestly, the swatch she showed me, was nice, and it was indeed a shade lighter than my naturally jet black hair. However, that was not how my base colored turned out. Thanks to her, my hair not only is NOT the color she showed me, my highlights so do the OPPOSITE of contrasting with my now ??shade lighter than my natural color? hair that they simply BLEND IN with it all over. Needless to say, it looked nothing like the picture I showed her.

This was my first, and ONLY, time going to an ??Asian? salon because I have always stuck with ??American? salons, as Annie so called them. I thought to myself, which ended up being a HUGE, $170 mistake, that trying an ??Asian? salon might be worth a shot price-wise, and talent-wise. Plus, I needed to get make an appointment with a salon before a specific time because I had a wedding to attend this weekend, and my normal stylist was completed booked until after the wedding. I figured, I knew an Asian person who went to this ??Asian? salon, and she always liked how her hair turned out, and she said it was always under $100. Besides, ??Asian? salons are supposed to be better at dealing with my Asian hair than these ??American? salons, right. Wrong! My ??American? stylist has never had any problems getting my hair the exact color I wanted. According to the ??Asian? stylist, Asian hair is hard to get to the exact color you like. Was this information that was provided to me before my hair was massacred? Nope. In about a week or so, I should be able to distinguish the difference in color between my base color and my highlights, but when caca, is blended with caca, it??s still all over?caca! What makes matters even worse is when I phoned in a complaint, not only did she say she didn??t remember me stating that I wanted my hair color darker, she wouldn??t even remedy the catastrophe for free. That??s something ??American? salons always do to please their customers. From now on, this Asian American will ALWAYS stick to AMERICAN salons! It was literally an expensive price to pay for something not worth the torture.

I went there for a shaggy, layered bob. The guy there cut my hair for a couple of minutes while I wasn't paying attention. I looked up, and saw that it was longer than I liked. I asked him to cutter it even shorter. Because he had spent time on it already, I think he got mad, so he started hacking at my hair. It came out really uneven, and some parts are totally blunt, while other parts were thinned out too much. I think he spent less than 20 minutes total. I will never go there again, and if you do go, don't go to the older gentleman unless you want a style that he made up himself. He doesn't take suggestions very well.

Alright, I know that practically every female tends to be a little pre-occupied and over-attached when it comes to the locks on her head, but this experience really did scar me emotionally. Someone with tougher skin would have probably been just fine. In my case, what started out as a three-inch trim off of my long straight hair turned into a butcher job! By the end of the haircut, I had a really severe bob that I was not anticipating. I broke out in tears and could not get over the shock (I loved my long hair). I know my friend got her hair done at the same time and loved her haircut, so like I said, someone with thicker skin would probably be fine with the same experience that I had.
