I usually end up with roast duck or char siu wonton noodle soup or chow fun. There is a take out counter where you can buy the roast meats. Parking can be frantically hard to find on the weekends as are most places in the area. Be prepared with that in mind. Good food and cheap.

This is nothing really special. The food is okay..the service is below that. If you are looking for good tasting chinese food then this is not the place. Especially for the price, there are other places to go. Unless you really want a family style eating that will not break your wallet.

All I can say is this place is just a WONDERFUL place to have dim sum, if you are not wanting to venture to China Town, in L.A. The dim sum is delish, and comes out plenty, you never have to worry about flagging a cart runner down. I never had a bad meal of Dim Sum here. I never had their dinners, but I do know their dim sum! LOL

Pros: DIM SUM, service

Cons: parking can be crowded during peak times

For a change, drive to Sam Woo's. The food is very fresh, good and their lunch specials can't be beat. Fresh steamed fish is healthy and very tasty. The roasted duck is enough for two. There is a small take-out counter or you can order anything from the main menu and they'll cook it quickly. Parking is difficult if you go during the weekend. Try the lot across the street.

You would think that because this is a chain that the quality would be the same, but man, this Sam Woo is good and most of the other ones are horrible!!! At this branch, try the Baked Pork Chop, the baby bok choy, and any fish dish. Also, the chicken cooked with ginger in green onion is a subtle mild dish with a nice blend of flavors. We've never been disappointed at this one, but many Thursday night dinner club members have complained about the other branches of Sam Woo!

Great food, fast service and relatively inexpensive. This is the closest to Chinese BBQ I've had outside of the China, very tasty and authentic. The atmosphere does not impress, but if you like tasty food which ic well prepared and dished up in generous portions, I'd suggest giving sam Woo's a try.

Cons: Crowded, Loud

We were disappointed in the Sam Woo Chinatown restaurant. However, the La Puente (actually, City of Industry) location has become one of our favorite restaurants. Good food and service and great prices. We often gather up as many friends as we can and eat there as a group.
