in 1952 my father, art hammond opened pizzios in dania fla.. the money backer was jim pizzio. soon after that they opened another pizzios in ft. lauderdale,both resturants were a big hit. i think they had 11 places including one in cuba by the time things were getting out of hand. i wonder if theres any relationship. i have pics of the 2 first pizzios. if im ever in santa rosa ill stop by. gary hammond

My wife and I tell everyone we know about this place. We love the spaghetti aglio e olio or a pie with fresh tomatoes in the summer. The wine list is superb and chalk full of locals, this is a great place to support your community. Roger and his wife are the best!

I have been to Pizzio's two times, now. The 1st was w/my son. We both enjoyed a fantastic pizza with excellent service. We talked about it for days to follow, and he asked to go there again in the same week. The 2nd time was w/my daughter. We both loved our meal. The bread is great, and the dipping oil has a special touch that is truly fantastic. The service is 5 star with an appearance by the chef; way more than I expected. Don't let the location or the drive deter you, it's worth the drive and it's really not all that far when you think about it. Of course, I live just down the street!!

Hands down the best meatballs and spaghetti in town. The best Flatiron Steak I have ever had. Wine list excellent with featured wines of unusally good quality. Prices always reasonable.

Wonderful atmosphere and charming hosts. Roger, the chef, makes his own bread and pasta and also prepares a variety of veal, beef, and vegetarian specialties. His pizza has a thin crust with savory toppings in a truly neopolitan manner. Best of all, each pizza is a work of art, with elements carefully placed in to make a stunning visual presentation. Many stars. This is a warm and friendly place, one you will want to revisit. Great food. Wonderful old world charm.
