Zorbas Family Restaurant

This place is great! The food is amazing and there is a big selection of greek food. I really recommend the buffet. The only reason it doesnt get more stars, is that they were pretty confusing on their prices. I called and they told me one price for the buffet, they charged me about 5 dollars more than they said, and there was a sign at the front that said a different price! they need to make up their minds, but the food is worth the trip.

WoW what an experience that i had here !! I have been coming here since 1989. Evey time i step foot into the restaurant,eveyone treats you like family .Exellent food ....the best in San Diego (trust me i have tried all of them) This place has an amazing atmosphere,it makes you feel like your acually in Greece !! One word of advise you cant beat the price and the quality of food , So go there . i would name Zorbas the BEST IN SAN DIEGO !!! trust me eveyone has a great experience that goes there !!

I am a Greek American visiting San Diego and wanted to see what the Greek restaurants of San Diego had to offer. As a Greek American I would like to apologize on behalf of the family that owns Zorbas. The food is horrible and it is nothing like Greek food! I didnt have a chance to try other Greek restaurant in town but for those who are not Greek I would like you all to know that this is not real Greek food! The pastries were horrible drenched in sugar and water nothing like the real thing. The waitresses are rude except from the waitress from NY who is very kind and friendly as for the other girls they need to reconsider new employment in another industry. I would think that since the owners know there food is crappy that they would at least offer excellent service the customers but thats not the case. As for the name family restaurant it should be changed to Zorbas diner because thats what it reminds me of. The owners should reconsider the menu! As a Greek American I am embarrassed of Zorbas restaurant representing the Greek cuisine!

This place is awesome. The food is delicious [try the dolmades, they are excellent]. This is a buffet style restaurant, by the way. The whole place has this great home style family cooking feel, great atmosphere. The restaurant screams of Greece with their decor and live music and entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights.
