I always like going to this store because there is a lot of selection. The fact that all these clothes came from Nordstrom is a plus because the clothing does not look very cheap and I can always find something. I always recommend this store. The employees are always nice and friendly, which makes the experience better.

I typically come here for staples, like undershirts, boxer briefs and socks, but you can also find some great deals on shirts and pants. You do need to have time to dig a little because there are a lot of hideous shirts and pants that are in the Rack for a reason. Some of the clothing here has you wondering what the designer was smoking when they came up with the awful designs. If you have the time you can find some great hidden gems.
PROS: Great prices
CONS: You have to dig through a lot of bad clothing

I absolutely love this store. It has great quality clothes at a cheaper price. Sometimes you have to search though alot of clothing, but it is well worth it. Also their shoes and accessories are amazing.. almost 50% off than regular Nordstrom. I would absolutely recommend this store to anyone that wants the high quality of Nordstorm and afforable prices.

I like Nordstrom Racks and I do not agree that they are upscale versions of Ross stores. They sell much nicer designer outfits at higher prices then Ross stores

Great bargains if you're in the mood to dig
by Anonymous
I went to Nordstrom Rack to see if I could find any good deals on my favorite designer brands. Everything was so disorganized. They have many racks labeled "Just arrived" and they are not organized by size, brand, or anything. Also be careful of flawed items. I saw MANY ripped/stained items while I was there. I was pretty disappointed with the selection, to be honest. They don't seem to have many small sizes; however, I may have just gone at the end of a "wave." This was my first visit.
They also had an upstairs floor with shoes. Great selection, but the shoes are organized by size, and they're literally thrown together on the racks. They had nice designer names, too (Stuart Weitzman, Cole Haan, Coach), but I didn't think the discounts were that great. I think I have been nicely spoiled by the Loehmanns Shoes store!
When I was there, I saw lovely Coach watches for around $150. The saleslady tending the tables was very nice.
I would recommend the Loehmanns store and Loehmanns Shoes store in San Francisco instead if you want to bargain hunt. However, if you don't mind digging, you may find some gems at Nordstrom Rack. They even provide shopping carts for you big-time shoppers!

For Ladies Who Lunch--But Don't Like to Pay Too Much

Nordstrom's Rack is two stories tall, and filled with heavily discounted designer clothes, shoes, and generally high quality items. Although it gets packed during the lunch break, it's slightly more subdued any other time during the weekday. A recent trip yielded decent prizes for luxury bedding and stacks and stacks of wonderful Italian shoes. The main reason to go is for the shoes, but it's a bit overwhelming and scattered. Once you do pick out somethiing , lines to purchase items are often long. But this is the price we pay for beauty.
PROS: excellent selection, cheap designer clothes
CONS: line

Nordstrom Rack is an upscale form of Ross Dress for Less. The merchandise is nicer and the store is much cleaner and more organized. Nordstrom Rack is a great place to go find cute shoes. You find a shoe that you like and then bring it to the counter to find its mate. I've found cute BCBG and Coach shoes here before.
