My favorite dinner here is the pork chop, no matter how the cook it. It changes every month. In the months they don't have the pork chop the pork shoulder is a good consolation.

Best food in this area. When I have a party I decide to order food from Amir's Falafel, because they have lots of different apetizers, salads and also middle eastern food.

Amer's falafel serves up some tasty and traditional middle eastern fare as well as burgers and sandwiches. Recently remodeled (thank goodness) it's small but clean and welcoming. The chicken dinner is delicious and grilled to order right in front of you and is big enough for two. Make sure to sample the pickled veggie bar.

I don't know much about the health-status of falafels, but Amer's Falafel can't possibly do any harm. Unlike other falafel places/stands that drench their pita bread with oil, Amer's pita bread or laffa is warm, soft, and practically oil-free. There is the green salad inside the pita (veggies? check!), not dribbled over with fattening sauce. Instead, a choice of hot or garlic sauce (and I recommend them both...not at the same time of course, which luckily for you, demands two separate visits on your part) is delivered on the side. A clean and very nice touch. The generous layer of hummus is so creamy, thick, and pungent that you would thank God for the chickpeas of the Earth. Indeed, I've never tasted such a great and genuine rendition of hummus until Amer's Falafel (protein? OHHHH yes.). The falafel ballz are lightly fried, leaving practically no oil stains. The same generosity of hummus is applied as the ballz are layered one after another throughout the pita. This astonishing fact means that a falafel ball is part of every bite.

I sometimes wonder how their chicken or lamb toppings taste, but I don't think I can ever try them. What. Leave my falafel ballz? Never!

Pros: quality food, clean environment, flat-screen tvs, kind service, quick and easy, available parking, healthy

Cons: none

We just tried out that little Middle Eastern place in Encino, Amer's Falafel, that our friends keep telling us about. Why did we wait so long to eat there? The ambiance is very warm and welcoming and the food is the simply the best middle eastern food I have ever tasted. What they call their laffa bread makes the chicken shawarma I had very tasty and filling. The falafel is delicious and the garlic sauce was so good I took one home with me. The place is very busy and the staff are friendly. The Israeli / world music mix adds a lot to the ambience.

Ample parking (especially for a restaurant on Ventura Blvd) and the service is pretty fast. I would definitely visit the place again to get my fix of chicken shawarma and garlic sauce. I was told this place has fresh new look - regardless, I would highly recommend trying it out and treating yourself to mediterannean delight like no other.

Love the new decor! I used to go to the old place before they redid it and the new place looks 10 times better. Ordered the laffa sandwich with falafel and my friend got the laffa sandwich with chicken shwarama. Both were delicious, the laffa is definitely a great addition. Love that they give you free tasters of the laffa and hummus before you buy. It was a little bit busy during lunch so off peak hours is probably better if you're in a rush. New people working there are friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back for another laffa sandwich.

Amer's Falafel has done it again! My friends and I recently tried their new laffa bread, and it was amazing! The owner and manager were very friendly, and welcoming. I enjoyed the decor, and would definitely come back. There are times this place is out the door...but service is fast and the little wait is worth it. I would recommend coming during the slower hours if you're in a rush, but don't let it deter you from at least trying it.

I've been all over the world searching for better Israeli food than I've found here at Amer's falafel...even in Israel I couldn't find an eggplant salad to beat Amer's. Definitely my favorite place for pita and chummus!
