Well my experience at the Sock Market was positive yet I totally agree with the comment made by "Weird sock sizing, befuddled mom". Don't get me wrong I am a total SOCK LOVER....but I was some what disappointed when I tried on my black argyle socks considering I had been looking for a similar pair everywhere. I visited the store in San Francisco and was very happy to know that there was actually a store like this and was even more happy when I found out there was one in my home town LA. But when I tried on my socks I was somewhat unhappy with the fit of my socks. I too felt fat :( and i consider myself average too.

We were visiting Uni City Walk yesterday and my daughter, who is an average sized person, not fat by any means, purchased a pair of stylish knee socks (for $12.00!) at this store which were marked as fitting her shoe size, which, when she took them out of their packaging and tried them on after we got home, they did. BUT her calfs would have had to have been the width of Nicole Ritchie's little sister's wrists to pull these socks up to her knees. Of course she immediately felt very disappointed and, need I say, "fat". But at $10.00 for parking I'm not about to go back there to exchange them. Is this store only providing services to anorexic girls? Or are they promoting anorexia as a means of wearing their products? With all of the hub bub in the media about our teen's self image and the damage being done by promoting super skinny models, this type product is not what the general teen public needs. If the manager of the Sock Market should read this, please provide products made for average-sized real-life American girls, or mark your products as being for the "especially thin".

I'm walking down City Walk and my Fiance notices this store with all kinds of stockings and cute socks so he goes in there and chooses a few stockings for me. So I go to purchase them at a great price...Give the Cashier (which by the way is THE STORE MANAGER) and charges my purchase on my credit card and I asked her for the receipt she gives me the one from the credit card machine. I noticed something fishy when she turned around and started to peel off the price label on my stockings. I asked her to give me the detailed receipt with the entire transaction she hesitated then I noticed HER SCAM she had OVER-charged me for my stockings!!!!!!!!!!!
Talk about HER BOSS needs to send her to CUSTOMER SERVICE 101 class....This scam totally changed my entire shopping mood. I was there on vacation and just couldn't understand why she would do that????
I've worked with Customers before and in a case like this if the merchandise was marked in-correct you still honor the price to the customer because that's the price that was on the label when it was taken off the rack. And if there's a discrepancy then you explain to the customer.....YOU NEVER TAKE THE FREEDOM OF OVERCHARGING THE CUSTOMER WITHOUT EXPLAINING TO THEM THE SITUATION!!!
I live in Chicago and believe me everyone I know will hear about this.
MESSAGE TO THE STORE MANAGER YOU MAY HAVE GOTTEN CAUGHT BY ME BUT WHO KNOWS IF YOU'VE DONE THIS TO OTHER CUSTOMER???? Honestly do you think you should still have the position of a STORE MANAGER???

The Los Angeles sock market is located at Universal City Walk. It is a small store selling an array of different types of socks. They ranged from specialty sized socks to colors to types of socks. Personally, the socks are a little bit over priced, because I?m sure you can get them cheaper elsewhere. It is just cool to see a whole store dedicated to socks.
