I bought a three year contract here because this is was the only gym with water aerobics in town at the time. Since then there are several more options, and I wish I had waited. The pool at this 24 hour fitness location is not taken care of very well. It seems like there's always a problem with the water. The temperature fluctuates wildly, and the chemicals are hit and miss. (I have asked about the temperature issue and have been told that the lap swimmers who come in in the afternoon heat like the pool cold, but morning aqua exercise classes require a warmer water temp.----I think the problem could be solved by heating the pool starting in the evening hours and turning the heater down each morning at 5 or 6 but no one follows through...) A pool that hosts as many swimmers per day as this one does should be checked and adjusted for chemicals daily, but I really don't think this one is. The other bit of bad news is that while the club finally made pool dumbbells and kick boards available to members 24-7, they have stored them outdoors in direct sunlight causing them to deteriorate. After a water aerobics class the pool is full of styrofoam-type 'snow' which has fallen off of the dumbbells. One more odd thing---I've seen the cleaning staff using the kickboards as something to kneel on while they clean. This just seems unhealthy. This place could also use more water classes, especially from May through September. The teachers by the way are quite good.
PROS: can't beat the hours
CONS: Pool is not kept up
