We went in one day to look for a chihuahua puppy, but we were appalled by the quality of the environment these animals are living in. the puppies' cages, which were all very small and although the puppies themselves were not too big, they deserved more space, were coated with feces and urine, and no one cleaned it up. And as a result, the puppies were walking around in their own waste which could obviously give the dogs infections. the workers are also apparently uninformed on what breeds of dogs they are selling. we were looking at a cage of two adorable puppies, one Yorkshire Terrier and one West Highland White Terrier. we didn't know at the time which one was which (the breed names are written on the window of each cage, and each cage has around 2 puppies). we called an employee over, and asked which one was which, and the employee replied "I actually don't know what they are." I don't think that it's really the employee's fault as it is the manager or store owner.there were about 15 parakeets in a roughly 2x1 ft. enclosure, and it looked very uncomfortable for the birds to be sitting on each other all day.we also have a friend who had purchased a Guinea Pig from Wetpets, and when she had gotten it, it's left hind leg was torn, and obviously broken. my friend, being softhearted, thought that she could rehabilitate the poor creature, but it's leg was too much infected that poor Scrit died. We did not report the store, but we are sorry we didn't. I'm surprised that it's still in business. it looks like all of the shoppers there don't realize that the animals' health is in danger.
