Wet Pets Pet Ctr is Very good
by Sanna O.
I am a regular customer at wetpets. They are a great store now anyway...I wouldn't buy my feeder fish anywhere else. Considering I am feeding a snake I really need healthy feeder fish and they are quite healthy. I wouldn't however feed fish any other feeder fish either since other stores have unhealthy fish that could contaminate an aquarium. Animals are actually pretty well taken care of. I enjoy the customer service by the owners and other employees.

pretty good store but not what i expected
by Gabi B.
wet pets has lots of great animals. unfortunately some of the animals are either starving to death or squeezed in their little tiny cages. when i went there i saw a poor dog with bones popping out of it. i felt terrible. they should really care about the pets because pets are like human beings. they need a space big enough to have space and food too. i bought 4 Koi fish the other day and 2 of them died like 5 minutes after. i was really disappointed. you might want to take a look at wet pets, but make sure you get an animal that's in good condition.

Wet Pets El Sobrante(before in San Pablo)
by Jack J.
As said before wish I could put 0 stars. Been around fish hobby for long time even back to when they were in San Pablo. Stay away, Wet pets is and has always been a horrible store. Corals prices a little high, especially ones the owner(SCOTT) thinks are nice. Many other stores with better selection and prices than this place. Customer services is lacking along with their pet care. Stand there for how long until you get help? Little pups should not be sitting there with poop in cages, stepping over their own poop. Will be glad to see a chain store come and take over Wet Pets any day.

why should we bye a dog with problems
by malissa w.
My mom got a dog from wet pets and my mom bought her for 1000 dollars and the dog had a problem that she would diarrhea every where the dog passed it on to our other 2 dogs! We payed 300 dollars for all dogs medicine. I think wet pets sucks and should get treatment for their own animals. I think animal control should go up to wet pets.

My iguana was dead by nightfall.
by Melissa R.
I've waited months to get an iguana and after finally getting the cage prepared I felt ready so I went and bought one from wet pets. First of all, they had only two there and one was almost dead. I bought the other one because it seemed slightly okay. The guy there said it would probably just fatten up and be fine after a week or two. I bought it at 6PM and it was dead by 10PM. I'm severely disappointed, and now i have to go try and get my money back. I wish I just would have went to the vivarium in Berkeley.
I wish the system would allow me to give no stars because this shop deserves none.

poor animals
by Haldirk G.
unfortunately this rating system limits me to leaving at least 1 star.
The animals kept there are in horrible conditions. I had just yesterday bought a puppy and had him checked out today at a vet. turns out it had mites and they were dangerously close to its eye. the procedure would have cost more than the outrageously enough price of the pup. i had to return the puppy after naming it. It has been a horrible day for me and my family now and i wish we could have been able to just keep him but my parents felt the total cost was too much for us all at once.
P.S. Our vet told us she has never had a client that bought a pet from Wet Pets without some sort of problem.
I also wish i did better by looking up these reviews before going there. Notice the ratings drop from the day it opened.

Oh, it was gross...
by Leah S.
There was a little dog with his foot stuck in the bottom of the filthy, feces-covered cage. We told a worker, he shrugged and went to go hang out near the fish.
Unbelievable. Would give 0/5 stars if it was possible.

Absolutely disappointing and sad
by Anonymous
I stopped by to check out their stuff and I was absolutely horrified by the condition the puppies and birds were in. Not only do they need larger cages but need to be taken out and played with instead of leaving them to sleep and eat on their feces. 90% of puppies in pet stores come from puppy mills and it is unethical to purchase puppies from pet stores. Please boycott buying puppies from pet stores. By purchasing these puppies, it is only encouraging backyard breeders to breed more puppies and supply them to pet stores.

When I went there too take a look at the puppies,a minature pinscher and a toy poodle were sleeping right next to their poop without any bed shivering while a small chihuahua had a huge bed.Their store should get shut down.

very dissapointing...
by Anonymous
We went in one day to look for a chihuahua puppy, but we were appalled by the quality of the environment these animals are living in. the puppies' cages, which were all very small and although the puppies themselves were not too big, they deserved more space, were coated with feces and urine, and no one cleaned it up. And as a result, the puppies were walking around in their own waste which could obviously give the dogs infections. the workers are also apparently uninformed on what breeds of dogs they are selling. we were looking at a cage of two adorable puppies, one Yorkshire Terrier and one West Highland White Terrier. we didn't know at the time which one was which (the breed names are written on the window of each cage, and each cage has around 2 puppies). we called an employee over, and asked which one was which, and the employee replied "I actually don't know what they are." I don't think that it's really the employee's fault as it is the manager or store owner.there were about 15 parakeets in a roughly 2x1 ft. enclosure, and it looked very uncomfortable for the birds to be sitting on each other all day.we also have a friend who had purchased a Guinea Pig from Wetpets, and when she had gotten it, it's left hind leg was torn, and obviously broken. my friend, being softhearted, thought that she could rehabilitate the poor creature, but it's leg was too much infected that poor Scrit died. We did not report the store, but we are sorry we didn't. I'm surprised that it's still in business. it looks like all of the shoppers there don't realize that the animals' health is in danger.

I think the song on they're commercial they have on T.V. is a little ridiculous but the store is great. They have a huge selection of fish, supplies, and equipment at Wet Pets in El Sobrante. The workers know what they're doing and are pretty helpful every visit. It's also very well kept and the tanks are always clean.

This Pet store has almost everything you need to setup a really nice fish aquarium. I particularly like the salt water set ups they have all around the store. They have so much equipment and supplies around for anyone from a beginner to someone who has an addiction to fish. Seriously, one of my friends has an addiction to his fish aquarium. Anyways, great service and good prices here at Wet Pets.

They have a variety of fresh and salt water fishes. The tanks are clean and well maintained. The fishes are healthy and good looking. They offer all supplies and accesories for your wet pets. The prices are pretty descent and competitive to other major pet stores. The service here is awesome!

They have a very knowledgeable staff here at Wet Pets pet Center in El Sobrante. They are so convenient for me because Raleighs is right next door. They have a variety of tropical fish from salt to fresh water and all the supplies needed. They also have most of your basic pet supplies too. The service here is awesome and I always know I'll be getting the best service to my needs.

I've been a customer to this store before they relocated to their new location. The old location was a little dark and needed more lighting inside. But, they took care of that in the new location. They have brighter lighting, larger space, and located in a very nice shopping area. They have a good crew of employees and have a great selection of pets. If you live out in the east bay area. Wet pets is one of the pet stores you want to check out.

I go to this establishment often. They are always very friendly and they love it when I bring my pets. They are a little expensive, but sometimes it's better to suport the smaller guys in the business. They are well stocked all of the time and I know that they are willing to help me and if for some reason they don't have what I need, they are willing to help me anytime.
PROS: Very Friendly
CONS: a little expensive
