We had a great experience w/the trainer who came to our home. She helped w/our in-home problems and then we were able to participate in the group classes. She brought a variety of training equipment and she let us try different collars to see how they worked and we were able to see the dogs reaction to the different collars, and she had some great tips on teaching our dog some basic manners, on greetings and with our kids. We are all now living as a happy little "dog pack". The in-home lessons helped so much with all our little problems, chewing, jumping and barking, but the classes helped tune down the excitability level our dog went thru every time he saw another dog. I am thankful for the knowlegde I gained thru their services.
PROS: affordable prices, large variety in equipment, helpful trainer.
CONS:

My family enrolled their dogs in one of the group basic obedience classes offered by Dog Services Unlimited. The trainer's name was Shelley and the class was held in Anaheim Hills. I'm not sure if it was just this particular trainer, because this company has several trainers and different classes, but she was horrible. We didn't learn anything in her class, her techniques didn't work, she wasn't friendly, wasn't helpful and she spent more time talking about her purebred Boxers rather than training our dogs. She always seemed more annoyed when any of us were having trouble with our dogs doing a command, instead of trying to help us fix whatever it was that was wrong. I also did not enjoy the use of choke collars for the training methods. It seemed like all she did to make the dog listen was yank even harder on the choke chain. I wouldn't recommed Shelley if you are looking for a trainer that will take the time to really train your dog and help you. I can't speak for the whole Dog Services Unlimited company, but if she is any kind of example of what the other trainers are like, I would go elsewhere for dog training. Also, if you don't like choke chains/collars, this training isn't for you.
PROS: Class fee/price was cheap
CONS: Choke chains/collars, trainer wasn't helpful/friendly, methods don't work
