I appreciate how the staff here handled my warranty queries. They are caring and they put on the needed attention for the concerns I have.

Great bike shop in Los Angeles. You can bring your bike in and get it repaired fairly quickly and for a great cost. They also have some wonderful bikes you can purchase too with all the amenities.

One thing I've learned from bike stores in LA, the money is in bike sales, not in repair. So if I come in with a bike in my hands, I am the last on their list. I knew that was the case, so I hung out for a bit while the guy running the place was talking to a potential bike sale, but he saw and addressed me not long after I arrived. He had me bring my bike to the back and said it would be 10 minutes. I went to the bathroom and when I got back (5 minutes) my bike was done and he charged me $10. So to me, that was pretty good.

Pros: fast, reasonable price

Cons: claustrophobic atmosphere, had to wait to be seen

This is the worst bike shop in the hollywood area... AVOID THIS SHOP AT ALL COSTS.

I walked in with my bike and mentioned that I was having some difficulty with the brakes. This awful excuse for a human being (hispanic male with a mustache) comes up to the bike, and says, "oh okay, I see what the problem is... it'll be $50 bucks to fix it." I ask him, "Well, what's the problem?" His response was, "You know, sometimes in life things don't work." -- While I thought his words of wisdom were very moving, I asked him to clarify what exactly was wrong with the bike. He kept repeating, "Oh you know, too hard to explain to you, but it'll be $50 bucks if you want to fix it."

At that point, I walked out of the store and went to I Martin Imports on Beverly Blvd (less than a mile away). As I walk in, I was greeted with a smile, and they asked me what was up with my bike. I explained the problem, and the guy took the bike (without mentioning a thing about money), and in LESS THAN A MINUTE fixed the problem. He explained in detail what the problem was, and just handed the bike over to me and that was it. Now, that is what I call a quality bike store.

Spokes 'N Stuff tried to charge me $50 dollars for something that I Martin Imports was able to fix in less than a minute... but the problem is beyond that. The service at Spokes 'n Stuff is awful, the bikes are limited, and the people working at the store are some of the worst people I've ever come across.

AVOID THIS STORE.

Pros: On Melrose?

Cons: Everything else.

Best Bicycle store in L.A
Spokes N Stuff is a neighborhood bicycle shop and a whole lot more. The prices are reasonable and have an excellent repair department. I bought a bike there and they have the best after-service program. They really take care of their customers. What makes this shop so unique is the owner sometimes engages with his customers on all sorts of current events & politics, you may or may not agree with his opinions he presents them well & challenges you, while you wait for your bike repair to be done.
