5 Stars: Okay fine, new york pizza is AWESOME (by Travis L.)

I've been converted from my west coast heathen ways. Seriously. I'm from norcal and will always stand by blondies and zachary's but Bronx Pizza not only trounces the competition in terms of choice down here but they DELIVER! I'm assured by three separate New Yorkers that its like they're back home. I can't speak to that myself, but the pies are delicious.

5 Stars: The Only Pizza this Native New Yorker Will Eat (by Melissa M.)

I am a bona-fide pizzaholic. I love all kinds of pizza. BUT, there is only one place to get New York or Brooklyn style pizza in SD and that's Bronx Pizza.

Its the only place I go for ANY pizza in this town now. I miss New York!

5 Stars: Bronx Pizza (by Susan K.)

The yummiest New York style pizza in San Diego. It's always busy in there, so you know there has to be a reason for all those people flocking to this place. The pepperoni and sausage pizza is delicious. They also have different types of pizza and calzones. The people who work there have that New York attitude, it's the best.

4 Stars: New York style pizza (by Andrew H.)

from New York? looking for a pie? then Bronx Pizza is the place to go. sit and grab a slice or a calzone and enjoy a taste of New York. though it can get busy, the pizza is well worth the wait.

PROS:
CONS: can get busy

4 Stars: Good and cheap (by Christine K.)

The long line is definitely worth it. The slices are really big and only about 2-3 bucks. The place is really small and the simple with just tables and plastic chairs, but still very worth it.

5 Stars: Awesome Slices! (by Daryl S.)

If you are from anywhere NEAR the East coast, or just love thin crust pizza, there is NO BETTER place than Bronx! Service is fast and friendly...plus tax is included so prices come out even! What more could you ask for?

4 Stars: Tasty Pizza (by Karrie F.)

A favorite place for locals! This place has the best New York style pizza in San Diego. It is owned by a New Yorker who wanted to share good pizza with everyone. They sell pizza by the slice or whole at decent prices. Eat-in or pick up only. They do not deliver. If you go on the weekend leave extra time. The restaurant is popular and crowded on Friday and Saturday nights.

PROS: Awesome pizza
CONS: No delivery

5 Stars: REAL NEW YORK PIZZA WITH A CALIFORNIA TWIST (by Madison W.)

Bronx Pizza is the kind of hole in the wall restaurant, that's hard
to find in San Diego. Reasonably priced, gourmet thin crust pizza just like
you can find in the "Big Apple", only with a California Twist. Try the Artichoke Pizza, dabbed
with delicious sauce that's sweet and delectible, or Pizza without Sauce, or Pepperoni and the worx.
Parking is scarce, but service is the best, they'll even help you out with your box as you
take it to the car. Cash only, and by the slice or pie. Bronx is an awesome addition to the
Hillcrest/Mission Hills communities.

PROS: Thin Crust, Tasty and Cheap!
CONS: Cash Only, Limited Parking

5 Stars: Rated #1 in San Diego County!!! (by Jamie H.)

If you one of those people that came to the West Coast for one reason or another, then found out that the food here doesn't compare - you should step into Bronx Pizza. I believe it was created by two brothers, born in Italy, moved to NY and opened a pizza shop, moved to San Diego, and opened this place. For true New York style pizza - complete with the attitude and lack of parking, come here. They have 10-12 types of pizza-by-the-slice ready to be served within minutes, for that hot fresh pizza you remember, or have them make one specially for you.

It is very rare that you wont find a line out the door, and another at the take-out window. If you are from San Diego, and think that Pizza Hut or Dominos is "good pizza" - you will be blown away by the difference in this pizza (its like comparing a hot dog to filet mignon - but pizza).

Be ready to tell the guy what you want - if you hum and hah about for even a second, he will go to the next in line (typical NY'er).

PROS: 2 Slices and a Drink = 5 Bucks
CONS:

4 Stars: GOOD Pizza! (by Emma P.)

The pizza was pretty good, the slices were huge and filling. The place reminded me of New York because you could not find parking but the set up was the same as if you were in the East Coast.

PROS: Good pizza for less money.
CONS: Hard to Find Parking
