I play tennis 5 times a week. So every other month i need new shoes. $100 i spend on shoes at other stores. Here i can buy 2-3 pairs for that $100. I also found the TI balls here on sale for $2.79 per can.\r

Nobody knows any of the equipment; I actually told one of the managers how disgusted I was at the service in the store, and he said they are trying to change it. I asked one manager in particular about an item, and he just shrugged his

Staff, including the managers, are not helpful in the least when it comes to certain products. I've been read the back the box a few times when asking about a product. Not only are they not helpful, it seems they are understaffed since it's hard to find someone to help in most departments. Prices are good, but they are fairly standard among Big 5's. I'd rather go to the Culver City location, as the staff is much more friendly and helpful.

This Big 5 store is pretty big, but their inventory is so large that they end up looking cramped. They have a good selection of shoes and general sports gear, but don't expect to find specialized items, such as archery gear for adults. However, they will be glad to recommend other stores if they don't have what you need. Generally friendly service, and often crowded with customers on weekends.

While they have a nice selection of sports shoes their salesforce is not really trained to give advice on what is the best on the market and what is good for certain sports. If you know what you want this is the place to go. They also have a good selection of sports equipment.

I've found the two prior Big 5 locations I shopped at to be extremely generic, but this location had more legitimate, name-brand stuff. Got a good deal on a spring wetsuit here.
