plastic in the food and terrible service
by s y.
We order the soup and the curries and all goes well till at the end of our dinner, my wife spots a piece of plastic in the curry. It was crumpled up thin plastic the size of a quarter!!! that was NOT ACCEPTABLE.
After the manager spent 5 minutes justifying us giving the 18% gratuity, one of our buddy got upset and he raised his voice and demanded that we see his boss. At that point, they removed the gratuity but took BACK the curry they had reserved us (the one that had plastic in it, remember?!?). When we were outside bidding goodbyes, the 'boss' finally came out in the parking lot and said we should have tipped the manager more for his efforts as good will...that was RIDICULOUS! Our buddy who had yelled at that manager gave additional $5 bill to the boss as tip and asked him to leave us alone. Get this now...the boss TAKES the $5 bill and then tells us " i have seen all your faces...I would like you to NOT come in my hotel again...you STUPID...you LOW..." (end quotes)

Thai Pepper has decent food, but their soups are a little weak. The one problem I had with their food was I asked for it extra hot, and it came out very mild! If you aren't Thai I guess they don't think you can handle the spice! The service was good, and it was very clean inside!

They have mouth watering selections. I am from southern india and can handle a lot of spicy food. Be Careful while ordering Spicy stuff. The Pineapple fried rice and the tofu is too good.

These guys have mouth watering selections. However be careful about how spicy you request your food to be.. I am from India and can handle a lot of spicy food,, but I've had trouble handling their 'spicy hot'. You will be safe if you go with 'medium spicy'. They have some great desserts too. Very highly recommended.

HOT hot

Peppers and more peppers! HOTTEST thai restaurant I've ever been to. My friend handled the food just fine without a blink, but I was busy through most of the meal seeking out a waterfall of ice water to douse my tastebuds with. The server was very attentive, very helpful and generous with drinking water every 15 minutes for my burning mouth..I would recommend to have everything from the menu except the nuclear lamb dish. That one nearly sent me over the edge straight out the door. The restaurant was slow and half empty when we paid a visit during the middle of the week.
PROS: lots of choices, attentive waiter
CONS: too spicy for me

You can't go wrong at Thai Pepper - they offer what you'd expect on any Thai menu. Soups bursting with flavor (the Tom Kha is nice and sour), appetizers (the chicken satay is the best), curries, and noodles. The food in general is good - but nothing to write home about. The notable thing about their menu is the large vegetarian selection.
PROS: Excellent Chicken Satay
CONS: none
