If you go in expecting high class and fancy you miss the point. The continental has awesome high back brown leather booths, a jute box with great old hits and an awesome old-school atmosphere. Some nights there is even a lounge singer and dancing. Give the bartender specific instructions on what you want in a drink rather then just ordering a typical drink or you might end up with a surprise. The bartenders are sweet antiques and are a core of the atmosphere.

Is your life during the week is as boring as the two other girls that have posted here then you need to go to the Continental aka. the Cont on Thursday nights. There is nothing better then drinking long islands that are pure alcohol and maybe occasionally getting kissed or getting an ass grab by Margo the elderly cocktail waitress who we all love. It is very repetitive on Thursday nights... if by repetitive you mean having a bitching good time! Screw the rest of the week, the only time worth coming is on Thursday and it is definatelly worth checking out, I will be the drunk guy standing on a chair shouting something that doesn't make any sense

If you frequent this area and have nothing to do on a Thursday then visit this bar. It is definitley a dive bar, but they have a music and drinks for a decent price. They might as well call this college night becasue it is packed with people from the local colleges. It is always a good time and the young mingle with the old. Even if they dont know how to make something they will look it up for you. This is fun but it is pretty much the same every week.

as you drive by this place, you may think it is just somewhere for old people to eat. no way; this is not the case. on thursday nights college students congregate at this place. it gets packed. margo is the cocktail waitress and red is the bartender. they make a great team. watch out for the long island ice tea. they make it really strong! it is the typical dive college bar on thursdays: a little dirty with their red vinal booths but definately fun and loud. dont expect this every night though. other nights can be very slow.
