I used to like this restaurant at the beginning over a year ago. Unfortunately, I have had two recent bad experiences with this place concerning hygiene and health. Both times I found "hair" in my buffet food and I was totally disgusted.

This is the BEST Indian food in L.A. The people are super friendly and attentive. The food is so rich in flavor and the best I've ever had! It can look quite empty in there, I feel really bad for them because their food is so good. If more

New India Grill is pretty much your average Indian place which are in abundance in Westwood. I wasn't particularly impressed with anything about this place other than their Chicken Tikka Masala. For an Indian place the portions here are kind of small/expensive which I can only guess is to either A)try to sway peoples perceptions into thinking it is a "gourmet" Indian restaurant or B) try to cope with the increasinly high rent for commercial property in Westwood. Overall, if you work or go to UCLA, it is a decent place to stop by and try out.

The waiters are actual waiters, not surly wannabe actors, and the food is very good. Nice, quiet ambiance. Reasonable prices, too. There's usually ony a few people in there at a time, but don't be put off by that. They seem to have solved

Sauces were great; the meat just wasn't tender. The superb service more than made up for it, though, and we'll probably return.
