Friends Nursery School

This school is great, especially if you want to avoid the hype of over-programming and pushing your kids into too many activities. It is a safe and nurturing environment in which all types of kids can succeed and have fun. There is no push to "learn" academics, however the kids do come out with great negotiation skills and roll playing abilities. I also appreciated that the children were allowed lots of time to play outdoors and came home tired! The only drawback is the amount of fundraising and volunteering involved - but worth it for the quality of teachers and care that they give.

This is by far the best nursery school for children. Their philosophy is a warm, safe, inviting, hands-on environment with loving, caring experienced teachers. Children learn as they explore and play. This school setting is more like a ranch-style house with lots of room and outdoor play areas in the front and rear of the school. It is fully enclosed and safe. The teachers are skilled and helpful, and know when to let children be guided and not led. Potty training is necessary before entry. They are accredited and rate an A+ in safety and emergency training.

Both kids went here. It does take some participation, but the kids are really happy when you take them. The teachers seem to really like what they do. My kids had great experiences here.

This preschool was pretty good for my two boys, except that they're not very oriented toward teaching academic readiness for Kindergarden. The teachers were great!

hesitant child, teachers were kind and guided him

This is a co-operative preschool. Parents have to participate helping out at school and fund-raising activities. The participation amount is not overwhelming.

This a great center for a variety of children. There's lot of space to run around in, for the active child. There are lots of art/dress-up/block building activities for children that prefer those kinds of activities.

Some of the teachers have been there for more than 10 years. They are very caring.

Great preschool.
