I love this little nostalgic dinner. Good all American place to be served the way you like. The food and staff are great. I like where its located too. I always try to stop in for a late home style cooked breakfast when ever I'm in town, just because I always feel so at home here. After I finish eating, I really enjoy just sitting around, drinking coffee, and listening to the local chatter about whats going on in SLO town. Nice place to meet people too.

Old-fashioned "diner" - probably the best breakfast in SLO. Ordinary building, but locally popular.

Louisa's has been in SLO forever! just open for breakfast and lunch. favorite place to go after a fine night of drinking. It's the same for other people as well. It's packed on Saturday and Sunday mornings in particular!

Part of why I love Louisa's Place is that it's been here since I was growing up - and in a city where businesses come and go more quickly than I can learn their names, that kind of longevity says a lot about quality. Plus, it has a great old-timey diner feel to it, terrific food, and the service is excellent!

Great food and lots of variety. There are 27 different omelettes on the menu. The homemade cinnamon rolls are the best. Also like the homemade coffee cake. I have never done lunch there but did do a rootbeer float with coffe cake once. Not too bad.

The buckwheat pancakes are super delicious. My husband got eggs, sausage and pancakes that he also loved. The service is mediocre at best and the restaurant needs some serious renovating, but our breakfast was delicious. Prices are just ok.. probably a little high considering the rundown nature of the diner. It cost me about $10 (I think) for a 3-stack of large buckwheat pancakes with strawberries. They charged me $2.75 for strawberries - a bit much in my opinion but again... pancakes were goooooood!
