STORY 2!! on a sunday Oct 16th 2011 they had a fake sale that they promised to slash the prices marked on the windows (blue book price). "we were there twice earlier that week looking,, and they werent marked like that",, we thought they were pricey and started to walk out. trying to be funny, with 3 salesmen they literaly lined up with arms stretched out in front of the gate blocking us,, and one saying "whoah guys that was too quick". we told them that the prices were to high for us, and he was like "those were blue book prices and we are gonna slash them down for you if you "test drive a car". so we fell for it. then they wanted to do a credit report right away after the drive. so NO price was slashed still, he said "after the report".. with 1500 down a couple attemps with banks, no luck,,they tell us to go home and will call us tomorrow with an answer from another bank.. Next day, they call to tell us we are approved for a car at about 11,000 or less, so we go back,,when we show up, he walks away and says i am gonna get the list of cars you can be approved for,,but for about 10 minutes he is walking back and forth,, till finally he tells us "the bank will only approve with 2500 down .can you put more money?" Now why didnt he tell us this on the phone instead of us going back and forth from Arvin? LIES #1 now that i write this,, STAY AWAY from their "Value Lot" (no waranty!) they had a Trailblazer there running ugly, i owned one before and they dont sound like that, the salesman says they were gonna tune it up and acts like he is so concerned and tells the manager in front of us..so we went back there 2 days later and it was still there in the same spot. i remembered all this and had to add it while i wrote my first story. i couldnt write 2 reviews.

Purchased Sienna, Sales rep was quick and honest I got everything I asked for, this is not our first Toyota I previously owned a Scion Tc and loved it, however; family grew and upgraded to the Sienna. For the service department I have nothing to say but good things specially of my last service, we had to make a trip to the LA area and needed to travel thru the grapevine, My tires were in bad shape so I showed up with no appointment and in about an Hour I was out with an oil change and 2 new tires I thought I needed 4. Needless to say the service was great, Service rep was quick, friendly and helpful and the waiting room was great specially the kids area since I was able to keep track of my Kids all at the same time

Bought a truck here in 2005, leased a car in 2008. Came in knowing what we wanted so didn't take long to finish the deal. We had a great salesperson handle the paperwork and out the door both times. We live in Los Angeles so we don't use the service dept. but after going to the LA dealerships shopping for cars all I know is it's worth the trip to Bakersfield/Bill Wright Toyota to avoid the inflated prices and nonsense of LA. We have sent friends to this dealership and it always seems to be a good experience for them.

In an attempt to try to cash in for himself, he deceivingly rearranged the numbers to make it so that I would pay over $200 more than I should have. I quickly noticed this and made it an issue. After this incident, I will never, ever consider going back to this dealership and would never recommend this to any of my friends and family. Truly a disgrace for the Toyota corporation. This dealership ruins Toyota's good name.

This dealership has some of the worst sales reps. I was completely disgusted with the person who was helping me because he was incompetent and very indecisive with answers. For example, when I asked him what the price was for an upgrade package, his answer was "it is more expensive." Then when we went in to talk numbers, rather than actually negotiating, he straight up asked for my license and proof of insurance so that he could start processing. I asked what the interest rate was for a person with A credit and he told me the dealer's lowest rate was 7%, when clearly on a flyer they printed and were passing out at the dealer, was 5.9%. Furthermore, he hid the fact that there were rebates and when I brought them up, he tried to talk me out of them by saying they would actually hurt me. All in all, this place blows and I feel I made the best deal by walking away empty handed with my checkbook safely in my wallet.

Sales staff repeatedly promised delivery of a new vehicle and refused to return deposit on vehicle after they repeatedly breached their delivery promises. Informed them we were coming to the show room to pick up our deposit. A short time later at the dealership they used several "Red Herrings" to avoid dealing with the issue. They demanded to know whom we spoke with about the return of our deposit. When informed that my wife had made the call, the "Sales Manager of the day" Insulted me by by insinuating the wife wore the pants in the household and demanded to speak with the wife only. When the wife was presented they refused to speak to her also. Took advantage of our attempts to be cooperative. Was advised privately by another Bill Wright Salesperson to place a "Stop Payment" on the check. The "Stop payment" was successfully placed on the deposit check the next morning.

PROS: None
CONS: Waist your time.

This is your average car dealership. They have nice cars and a good selection most of the time. I browsed here a while back when I was in the market for a new car, but I was turned away by the pushy sales guys. The prices were ok, but there was no way to talk these people down.

Though the car business is stereotypically filled with dishonest people, this dealership has a few really great people working for them. You can be totally up front and honest with them and they will do the same back.

As with any other dealership I've dealt with in the past, it's always best to arm yourself with some knowledge on the car business and different tactics the salesman or closers will try to use.

I have only been here twice but both times I did not have good experiences. The salesmen were too pushy and seemed a bit rude to me. They didnt know how to take no for an answer. I had to literally turn around and leave because they got very pushy.

The prices here are outrageous, i have seen much lower prices in bigger cities such as Los Angeles. I would rather drive to another city than to pay outrageous prices. Also the salesman do not take the answer no very well, they keep pushing and pushing. I hate shopping for cars, and frankly this dealership does not make the process any bit easier.

They are very rude at this dealership they refused to honor my car warranty when something broke. I had to fight with them to honor it. I will never be back to this car dealership! It is very unacceptable to me to have a warranty that they dont want to let you use. I would not recommend going here.
