I had been contemplating doing some type of hair removal for a few years, and finally got around to it. My aunt has been having electrolysis for a couple of months, and she suggested I consult with Cindy. I feel like she is making good progress, and it's really exciting to see improvement from week to week. I can't wait until I don't have to worry about people noticing my facial hair. It has been a real drag to constantly tweeze and worry about it,

My girlfriend suggested I have some electrolysis done on my arms. Apparently she prefers a smoother look. Too bad she's dating a gorilla.\nIn any case, it seems to be going well so far, and it's not painful for me\nlike I thought it was going to be. I thought I'd write a review so men out there can see what their girlfriends can talk them into.\n\nCindy's really fun to talk to so that helps. Personally I think real men should have hair.\n\nBri

I came to Cindy after buying a home laser unit, & it did nothing for me.\nI've been going to Cindy for 3 months, & I'm seeing great results. I appreciate her knowledge & experience very much. She was the third electrologist I spoke to before starting permanent hair removal, & I feel I did make the right choice.\n\nI am having my underarms & hair on upper lip & chin removed. One of the best things I have ever done for myself.\n\nJill

I have been doing laser and electrolysis (laser on dark hairs, electrolysis on grey hairs,) and I'm finding the electrolysis to be the permanent of the two. I may decide to do electrolysis on all of the hair to achieve the permanent look I desire. It seems to be going well so far.

I wanted to thank Cindy for her persistence and knowledge about my daughter and the problem she has. I am a single parent of a 17 year old daughter who has extensive facial hair. For several months Cindy has been asking me to have our doctor check my daughter for PCOS. Our doctor did not seem to think that was necessary. Finally at Cindy's (pretty much insisting) I got\nthe doctor to run blood tests and do an ultrasound. Conclusion, yes she has PCOS. Now we have a diagnosis for her problem, and a more precise treatment plan. I appreciate Cindy's knowledge, and the fact that our doctor finally did something he should have checked into earlier on.\n\nJeff

I recently moved from NYC, and Cindy is the fourth person I've been to for Electrolysis. I was referred to her by my electrologist in NY. I read her reviews, and they were all great except for one. When I called and asked her about the bad review she very considerately explained that she'd told this client (during the consultation) that because of the amount of facial hair, and the fact that she had tweezed and waxed for years, she would have to treat the hairs very carefully. She explained that this meant with the precise amount of current so she wouldn't damage the woman's skin. Apparently because of the extreme amount of hair growth and the fact the woman had been tweezing, Cindy told me she had to work cautiously so not to damage her skin. She told the client that she would feel some tugging because the hairs are so strong and course. She told her this would subside once the entire face had been cleared once. She told me that if the woman had not tweezed and waxed the hairs would not have been so strong, therefore she could have gone faster, and with a higher current. She told me that her main objective is to 1) inform the client throughly, 2) get rid of the hairs permanently, & 3) not scar or pit the skin. I wanted to write this review for Cindy because she kindly explained what had happened, and then when she worked on me I found her to be great,\n& My skin had very little redness afterword, and no scabbing. I found I healed fast, and I really appreciate her honesty, and the fact she did not get defensive. She answered all of my questions politely, and I felt completely comfortable in her office.\nHer office is private and lovely. She gets my 5 star rating. One more thing I forgot to mention is that she explained that she had informed the client that she would continue to see dark hairs growing in on a weekly basis until the cycles of growth had been treated. It seems to me that the client that put in that complaint did not listen, and then went on to bad mouth an electrologist that has come highly recommended, and with good reason. She told me the woman said nothing to her after the treatment, and that she paid her. That was chicken of the woman.\n\nI for one appreciate you Cindy, and will be true to my new electrologist.\n\nSincerely,\nJennifer B.\n

I was referred by a friend, and I am really happy that I finally decided to do something about facial hair.I have been plucking hair on my face for over 10 years, and the thought of not having to do that again is so great. Cindy explained that because I have been tweezing for so long, and have so much hair, that I will need weekly treatments for around 3 months. She also said that because the hairs are tough from tweezing that the first treatment I may feel a bit of discomfort, but I would soon numb out. I have been doing 1 hour treatments, and I'm on the seventh treatment. I'm already seeing great results, and she's correct about it not feeling uncomfortable after a few minutes. I love Cindy, but can't wait to get up and see no more facial hair. Here's to the future!\n\n\nAli

I just want to recommend Cindy to anyone who is looking for an excellent electrologist. She was referred to me by Skin Spirit, and I want to thank them and Cindy. I have had an awful time with ingrown hairs in the bikini line area, and I am happy to say NO MORE! Hair all gone. Thanks Cindy for such great work, and now I am hair free.\n\nSara

I had so much back hair, and had tried laser without much success. I finally asked\nmy dermatologist for a referral for electrolysis, and he gave me Cindy's number. It has been tedious for her, I would imagine, but for me a feeling of confidence that I didn't have before.\nThanks,\nDave

She is the only electrologist I have been to\r\nthat never causes me to scab after the\r\ntreatment. Another benefit is that it works\r\nwhen she does it\r\n\r\nRhonda W.

Electrolysis has been a God send for me. I have had to be on medications that cause me to grow facial hair. Cindy has helped me by working with my doctor to come up with another solution that even my\r\nendocronologist did not know about! She is SO KNOWLEDGEABLE about different medical problems\r\nthat can cause hair to grow that I feel she should speak publically on the problem of unwanted hair growth.\r\nI have a thyroid condition (Hashimoto's Thyroid), and she told me to stop eating gluten and all wheat\r\nproducts. Since I stopped eating those things the facial hair has stopped coming in so often, and I \r\nfeel much better. Also, my medical tests show that my TSH and TOP Antibodies are not getting worse.\r\nAnyone who suffers from this type of thyroid disorder should do as she has suggested I do! Thanks so much Cindy for helping me with more than just my hair growth problem!

Cons: None for me.

Cindy cleared my back really fast, and she was totally fun to talk to which really helped me. I felt really nervous about the process, but it was no big deal, and I am so happy with the resutls!

I found Cindy to be quite funny, and easy to talk to. She gave me more information than anyone else\r\nI have been to. Her work is great! She has a very light touch, and I found the treatment to be quite\r\ncomfortable! I had no redness or discomfort afterwards. I highly recommend going to her!

Pros: I believe I mentioned everything in the review.

I taught electrolysis in New York for 23 years. Cindy Greene is one of the BEST I have ever had the good\r\nfortune of going to. She does not pluck hairs, and if you got dark course hair on your chin why didn't you call\r\nher and ask what was going on? She would have referred you to a doctor to have your hormone levels\r\nchecked. Even if someone plucks hairs one time a persons entire chin does not come back covered in dark hair. You might want to do your homework before slandering someone like Cindy. At least have the\r\nguts to tell her what you think happened. I asked her if she knew who you are and she said NO.\r\nWhy don't you come forward and leave your name like others have?\r\n\r\nMy suggestion for all seeking a great electrologist is to go there. Go to Cindy Greene.\r\n\r\n

Cindy is super-nice, and truly believes that she's doing a good job. Unfortunately, the area where she treated my peach fuz grew back dark and thick... which only happens to me if hair is plucked from the root. I started out with just a few dark hairs on my chin. But after several treatments with Cindy, my entire chin is covered in dark hair. Cindy sincerely thinks she isn't plucking the hair - she said that the plucking sensation is just how electrolysis is supposed to feel. However I know that my hair changes color and texture only if it's plucked. I eventually switched to a different electrologist. Turns out, hair that's treated with electrolysis is supposed to slide out without resistance... not at all like the pinch-like sensation of plucking. Cindy deserves a star for not having left any scarring, and for being nice. For permanent hair removal, look elsewhere.

I went to Berman Skin Institute to have laser hair removal. Not only did I get SCARS, but it wasn't\r\npermanent. I then tried Cindy Greene Electrolysis in Palo Alto. She is great. It wasn't painful\r\nlike the laser, and it is permanent. I have no scars, and she does great work! Thank you Cindy\r\nfor doing a great job!
