My wife and I called to inquire about a new soft side wave controlled mattress and a futon for our guest room. We had to make an appointment which was fine, and worked with our schedules. They have moved from newport blvd location to 1835 whittier ave #C-7 in costa mesa. They gave us a great deal on the bed and futon, and even custom made a futon cover for us with the fabric my wife brought in to them. They delivered and set up everything beautifully and on time. Very impressed with Tim with his expertise on educating us and coordinating the whole process. We highly recommend these guys.

Was very impressed with these guys. Initially very tough to find, apparently they moved over to 1835 whittier ave. in Costa mesa, and are appointment only. Finally found them and they took care of us big time. Great price on a soft side

Bought a hardside WaterBed from Terry's Bedrooms in the fall of 2010.

The good news? They're one of the few remaining brick-and-mortar sellers of hardside WBs (and, hopefully, replacement parts).

The bad news? In my case, they exhibited some combination of unethical behavior and/or incompetence.

----------------------------------
Cautionary Tale #1
----------------------------------

At the time of sale, I inquired about WB insurance. The salesperson handed me a brochure & application. I filled it out and sent in my check. A month after WB installation, the envelope re-appears in my mailbox stamped "Return-To-Sender". More research reveals that the WB insurer in question (ASI) is out of business! We'll never know if this was unethical behavior (Terry's doing "whatever it took" to make the sale) or incompetence (not knowing the state of their industry's ancillary services).

Lesson (that should be) Learned by the consumer (before you purchase a waterbed, from Terry's or anywhere else): Get your waterbed insurance availability & price confirmed upfront.

----------------------------------
Cautionary Tale #2
----------------------------------

The installation of my hardside WB seemed to be fine for the first two months of ownership. Then all hell broke loose.

When I put my shoes on in the morning, I usually sit on the left side of the bed. Then one day, I had reason to sit on the right side of the bed, and ..... BOOM! The 'North-East' joint where 2 of the wooden sides meet had opened up.

It turns out that the L-bracket that joins the two wooden NE sections was missing 2 out of 3 screws on one side, and another 3 screws were missing at the other 3 joints (NW, SW, SE). I was going to fix this myself (you have to be somewhat DIY with a WB), but when I went to drain the water, I discovered that I had not been given the adapter/nozzle (usually blue, same as the water pump; that mates the hose to the mattress?? fill valve) which is standard equipment that should have been given to me at installation (I'd owned a WB in the 80's and thus have some experience with this genre of bedding).

Fortunately, my waterbed mattress didn't break, I had no water leakage, and Terry's installer did come out and fix everything & give me the parts I was missing.

Lesson (that should be) Learned by the consumer (before you purchase a waterbed, from Terry's or anywhere else): Ask to see a copy of their Hardside Waterbed Installation Checklist, to confirm that (i) they actually have one, and (ii) it requires the customer to co-inspect and sign-off on the presence of all screws, fasteners, component parts, the sturdiness of the assembly, etc.,

I found the "gem" of all gems right in costa mesa across from triangle square at Terrys Waterbeds and Home furnishings! Not only was I treated like "family" at this little place on newport blvd, but I really am sleeping like a "King" on my new therapeutic waterbed with the heat therapy. I used to have back problems until I was told by my orthopedic surgeon to consider a flotation(waterbed) with the heat therapy, and my God it has been a God send. I saved enough money on the bed to be able to afford a nice recliner and a few end tables. The delivery and set-up was smooth and on time as scheduled. I highly recommend this family run business.

I drop by Terrys Bedrooms & Waterbeds on the way home from a friends house. The store offer many beautiful frames for normal and water bed that I have not seen from other stores. They carried many types of waterbed. The types ranged from tubes, sided bladders, and free flow mattresses. They also carry futon and many accessories. The customer service was very helpful and very friendly. Although I couldnt find the style and the right price, I would really recommend everyone to drop by and them out.
